I want to work in Vancouver, Canada. I'm a freelance ilustrator/graphic designer, living in Mexico City. Two friends of mine will go for six months to work there since next month, but I want to go to. How can I apply to a work there if I'm not canadian? May anybody help? I entered into a contract with a health club, for a minimum of a year. I joined for my children to use the gym etc...however I was not told at the time the limitations to the usage ie at certain times only etc. It is therefore usless to me and I think it was mis sold to me. I tried to cancel my membership and have now cancelled my direct debit to the company and have written many letters etc. They do not listen to my point and just site contractual duties. Do they not have the same duties to provide the service offered? I am at my wits end, as even the area mananger is ignoring me...except to threaten me with legal action. What are my rights ?

It seems the rich can only afford to buy houses or pay highly expensive rent.For those whom live in Calgary,Alberta,what percentage do you think the homeless rate is going to happen this year alone?And how does that make you feel and if you are a working class person and as a consumer can you afford to rent or buy a house on the wage you are making now without taking on a second job?
