since the word "illegal" itself means they are criminals. that statement is in the following news report:

oldguy - The fact that they became criminals when they touched U.S. soil makes them criminals. Being model citizens (term loosely used) does not negate that fact. By being here "illegally" they are allowed to work low paying jobs and the U.S. taxpayers supplement that low paying wage through the welfare, education, medical care, subsidized housing, etc. Plus, many of them actually make more than reported by under the table cash incomes. If all was reported they wouldn't qualify for the tax-paid services. The word "illegal" still means "against the law" in English no matter what it's referring to.

There are so many laws they commonly break.

1. Coming and taking benefits illegally.

2. Either using a forged and/or stolen Social Security card or not paying taxes on an annual basis.

3. In states where they are not allowed licenses, driving without a license or insurance.....

And then on top of that they represent 4% of our population but 25 to 35% of the national prison population and by some accounts up to 50% of the prison population in California.

What a tangled web we weave.....

YES, it is true literally, but that misses the point. It really means that the illegal act of jumping the line is the last illegal thing they do and after they arrive they become on their best behavior.
they work hard, etc etc. They are more like committing "civil disobedience' than they are a crime when they come here.
after all. Our government winks at this and allows it unofficially because they actually WANT them here to allow the big and small businesses to exploit them. It solves a problem for them.
Certainly this statement that is being made could be all hogwash and the illegal entrants continue on a crime spree when they get here, that is beside the point. The point is you are pretending to not understand what they are saying when you actually do. If you think it is untrue for factual reasons then make your case, do not quibble over semantics.

If you use only the semantics of the word "illegal" to condemn the character of all illegal aliens, and refute the argument, then you are not just missing the point, you are dodging the issue.
Moreover, you are judging all their future behavior in a prejudcial way and that is just plain old racism hiding behind cruel logic.

Mankind invented words to enhance understanding and communication, not as a device of sophistry to win serious arguments with trickery and inperfections of definition that arise.
Lets all try to listen to each other and take the point without resorting to this passive-aggresive tactic of fending off meaning with petty pretenses of ignorance of meaning. It does not contribute to a solution.

Vaya Con Dios, Amigo.

Tom and Jessica, AWESOME ANSWERS. In NC where we live, they are infamous for constantly breaking the laws here. When the cops pull them over (usually for DWI) they NEVER have auto insurance or a proper license. When they commit a more serious offense, like murder, they ALWAYS go back to Mexico like the cowards that they are.

Think about it. If they start out by being criminals here, why would they respect any other laws? And yes, it is an oxymoron. Mostly, they are just morons so they won't understand what we are saying.

yep.
and I have a story about that.
My wife was driving south on rt83 in maryland. it was snowing and she was going slow as was everyone else. Suddenly this station wagon shot past her and then about 20 feet in front of her it lost control. She almost got passed it by going around (you couldn't slam on the brakes, it was snowing and sticking on the road surface), but the station wagon hit the back of her car anyway.
Then the station wagon rolled off the road.
When the police got there, The mexicans in the station wagon had no license to drive, no insurance, and to top it off, the were all DRUNK !!!!
They tried to blame my wife for the accident but the cop arrested the driver (and at this point none of them were admitting to be the driver), so the cop arrested them all.
That's what illegal aliens do, they live here ILLEGALLY!!!!!
They break our laws and cause problems cause they don't care about the laws in this country because they are criminals. THey broke the law to come here in the first place!!!

GO HOME !!!!!

oh, and have a nice day!
tom

A lot of them do break the law. We live in the south and our jails are full of them. They are always getting into trouble around our area. The gang activity is getting worse. Its not even safe to walk in our area during the day.
A friend of mine was on his way to work a few weeks ago, and 3 Mexicans ( Illegals ) tried to rob him. He had just stopped at the store to get a soda on his way to work. When he left the store and got in his car to leave they started beating on his window, and telling him to get out. One had him blocked in with a vehicle and the other two were at his window. My friend grabbed his bat out of the car that he keeps in a floorboard and opened the door and started swinging. They jumped in the car that had him blocked and left, well two of them, the other one was left in the drive way unable to go anywhere. One of our ( Mexican American) Hispanic friends told him to keep protection in his car at all times because the same thing had just happened to him a few weeks ago, with illegals and he had to use his bat to keep from being robbed..

if u have ever visited Mexico it is a dirty filthy poor place (with flies). when we went there i tried to give them money. they almost robbed my dad. so they go to the u.s. illegally, all of them crashed up in one house they all got a job at McDonald's. but they keep all the money they get because they don't pay taxes. but the usually middle class American both parents have jobs and half of their pay check goes to bills and school. now we have a right to be mad because their children are going to school having a house everything. and we Americans are the only one paying taxes. AND WHAT DOES THE GOVERNMENT DO NOTHING.

Yes I agree. They broke the law when they immigrated without the proper identification and permission to enter the country.

Obey the law my foot. They are doing whet they can not to be seen. I could point out Americans you say are obeying the law and they are just staying out of site from it.

How true, and it usually happens that to cover that breaking of the laws-others are broken along with it.
