Did I miss a meeting, or isn't war actually an agent for PROLONGING terror? When you control the dictionary of what constitutes terrorism, how do you ultimately win or end a war on terror, except by killing everyone who disagrees with you? Isn't the right way to fight a war on terror by ensuring everyone has a home, enough to eat and drink, an education and all the other things that help conquer fear, uncertainty and hatred? No you didn't miss the meeting. Even if you did, the president makes state addresses. He doesn't have the smarts or the wits to agrue his cause. I believe war is terror-plain and simple. This country and many more will be affecting by this for many years to come. It will take a lot to get this country and the world back to normal. Or what is normal? There is still poverty, famime, illness, and corruption that is hurting many poor people all over the world. And no one seems to care, until it affects them. AIDS is still the most deadly killer among the very young and old.
War on terror. President Bush why don't you go visit any of US poorest cities and see how people are living, see the hospitals that you refuse to fund, or the public shelters that have to find another way to fund to feed the hungry. Talk to the people who lost their jobs because companies are downsizing and moving oversees to employ people who will work for nickels and dimes.
We can't rely on politicans anymore. It all starts with us the PEOPLE. We are the ones that vote and pay our taxes every year. We should stand up and say no to CORRUPTION, CORPORATE GREED and POLITICAL POWER,GLOBALIZATION, POVERTY, INJUSTICE, RACISM, FASCISM and any other negative ISM's.

A President does not act alone! Try bashing all those politicians YOU put in office. Nothing happens in this country without our Congress and Senate approving. I guess you think that blaming ONE MAN for everything, including the weather, will solve the problem. The best thing WE can do is to elect good, honest people to office in ANY STATE and make all of them accountable. You know I sometimes wonder if we would be better off with one party instead of two since it seems that deciding what party gets into office is more important in Washington.

I have never found any question to which i agree so wholeheartedly... Where do most people from the so called developed world do their thinking from... when they say we are out their killing spree or doling out aid after choking and ransacking a country for the sake of freedom and good of humankind.
Why is memory of colonialism so short-lived? All the colonizers justified their exploitation by saying that they were there to develop the 'backward' people, while actually robbing them of whatever they had including their dignity.
Presently Western Media portrays everybody but themselves as terrorists or potential threats so as to legitimize their aggression.
I am sure people out there consider intellectuals like Noam Chomsky, Edward Said, Samir Amin and a hoard of others as a third-world conspiracy!

No, in a perfect world yeah, but here in the real world there are people who only wnat to take from others, to be more powerful than everyone else, those who would use hteir own people as shields, and the children of htier nation to hold bombs. Because of them equality and peace and a world free of terror will never exist. But we can still fight on.

Also, if you look at the majority of terrorists involved in this war you will find that the link to poverty is a myth. Look at the leadership of al Qaida. They are all docotrs and engineers. Osama bin Laden is a structural engineer. His number two , Aiman al Zawahiri is a doctor.
What is comes down to is if you will accept cowering at all times, or simply removing (yes, killing) the people who would like to put you in this state.

What you are saying is that the terrorist are doing it because they don't have "a home, enough to eand and drink, and education". That isn't true. I'm not against the Islam religion at all and I respect their beliefs. These terrorist take phrases in the Koran to extreme stages. I'm not against that either.
