"Cornyn said the government has only 90 full-time immigration agents focusing on workplace violations nationwide and that it is "no wonder that many Americans are skeptical about how serious the federal government is about enforcing its own laws." The number of work site arrests dropped from 2,849 in 1999 to just 159 in 2004, he said.

"The American people feel like they were scammed" in the last immigration reform, Cornyn said. "If we're going to effectively solve this problem, we're going to have to regain their confidence."

Scammed, is that how you feel?

Jackson, I think you mistake my viewpoint. I think the Senate Bill should be consigned to the deepest hell.

This is just the first constructive criticism I have seen Bush make to the Bill.

However, what Bush's administration is saying ties in nicely with a 'border first' plan.

We were bamboozled by every piece of legislation to come down in the past twenty years.
When is the Government going to tell the world about their real plans. The North American Commonwealth is what I call it. Canada, Mexico, The US and anyone of the Central American Countries that will join. Open borders and free trade. A common currency and a centralized Commonwealth Government. A system of super highways and railways stretching from Southern Mexico to Central Canada and Alaska. They have been hard at work on this plan for years now and yet only pieces of it surface. You and I are not considered to be smart enough to decide with our votes if we want this plan or not. Therefore it will never be put before us until all of the pieces are together.

I would be glad to dig a grave for the Senates bill. And if you want to add most of the Senators into the grave--I will find the land for you to do. And with the money I save-I will donate the shovels.

Do you really think once they arrive, they will all be content to work at McDonalds?

By allowing 15 millions illegals to gain citizenship. W gets votes for his party and chep labor for his business buddies - at the expense of the American worker.

the senate is very disappointing. i, for one, will vote against my senator next term. they are selling us out, and do not care at all about americans. they only care about dollars, or pesos, depending on how much they've sold us out so far. i wipe my asss wil the senate bill, and the senators.
