He has been moving slow and not even eating crickets for several weeks. He eats superworms, not berries which he usually loves, no carrots he usually loves and letting crickets crawl all over him. Which is unheard of with our dragon. When he threw up tonight I realized that he ate those worms over 48 hours ago. They hadn't even began to digest. I bought him rasberries, one of his favorites and he just doesn't have the appetite to eat them. He keeps trying to get out of the cage, digging and digging after he threw up. Do I need to take him to the vet? He just seems very out of sorts. Sleeping alot. I know that they slow down in the winter, but he has never not eaten like this before. Anyone with any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Darla

Ok, so I know some turtles have salmonella. Which types tend to have that? Also, what is the difference between the care of a turtle vs. a tortoise? How expensive are they to keep? How often do you clean their living area? What do they eat? I am doing research to see if they would be a good pet for me. Thanks.

What could have caused this?
Did he spontaneously combust?
I've heard this can happen in humans but never heard of it happening to a lizard.

I currently own a couple reticulated pythons. I have water bowls in their cages but I am looking for something that looks a little more natural. I need them to be good sized and the water dishes that petsmart and such sells obviously does not sell big soaking dishes big enough for a rectic python. Does anybody have any ideas on how I can make a water dish that is a lot more natural looking? I would like it to look like rocks and possibly rough as well to help the snake shed easier. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Currently using a large black plastic bowl.

Well, this isn't really an urgent question answering or anything. I've come across something magnificent- all five turtles LOVE CORN!!! They attack it like it's their last meal! They're baby RES so when I put a piece of corn in, one of them chokes on it! But it's still determined to eat it! But then another turtle comes along and tries to eat it as well so it's like a tug of war between two of the turtles! It's absolutely thrilling to watch!!! Especially because my turtles hardly eat much of a variety of food. They'll eat like a piece of fruity pebble cereal every now and then- but only if its a red, they love pellets as much if not more than corn, and they'll eat lettuce (I'll leave a large piece of lettuce floating and when I'm not around they'll eat it as a last resort sort of thing and I come back to see a bunch of holes in it). Anyway, I've fed my turtles some corn after chopping it to bits and they're eating it like crazy! So I'm a bit curious, what do your turtles love to eat?

Currently, I have 3 hermit crabs; Hermie (medium-sized), Blackie (medium-sized, a bit bigger than Hermie, but not a lot), and finally Spike ( small size) Every since I purchased them down the shore ( I bought Blackie at Petsmart) ?I noticed they don't eat much; like not at all. Once I left out their food for 1 week, and they barley ate any!! Are they sick, or do they not eat much? And, do you think I'm feeding them enough? I feed them about 1 tablespoon of FMR land hermit crab food, with a little piece of carrot once in a while. They don't eat the carrot, so now I've stopped giving it to them. I change their food every 3 days, but it looks the same as when I put it in their cage. So, are hermit crabs supposed eat so little, or am I feeding them incorrectly? What food do you feed your hermits? Any suggestions?
