i can't get a uv ray light for my bearded dragon until tomorrow is that okay? i put him in front of a window so maybe he could get sum but some websites say uv rays don't penetrate windows. If that is true how can you get a sunburn in your car? Will he be okay until tomorrow?

He'll be fine. The issue with UV not penetrating through glass pertains more to the UVB bulbs which only have a very short effective range (the lizard usually needs to be within 6" to 9" of the light for it to be useful.) These lights lose that effectiveness if they are going through glass, so if possible it is ideal to actually mount the UVB fixture inside of the enclosure.

uv rays don't penetrate through windows. that 1 reason why people get tinted windows it blocks more of the the uv rays.if u do put your BD on the window seal open the window and put him by the screan so he can get direct sun light.the uv bulbs r good but direct sun light is better and he will grow faster and feed him right

UVA rays, the short rays, penetrate glass, and can cause burns when they do.

UVB rays, the ones that help with D3 and that reptiles use, do not penetrate glass or most plastics.

Missing a few days of UVB is not a big deal for most reptiles.
