Yes it is bad for a kingsnake to swallow some of its bedding. This is the reason it is recommended to feed in a seperate container, or to use news paper or papertowel as a bedding. There is a serious risk of impaction. Monitor your snake carefully. Make sure it defecates and when feeding watch to make sure it does not regurgitate. Not deficating, regurgitating and eating some of its bedding could be signs of impaction and in that case you would need to take it to the vet.

There is always the possibility of intestinal impaction if a reptile swallows some of the substrate. It is better to feed him in a separate tank. Watch him closely to make sure he continues to eat and poop normally.

a little piece here and there wont hurt. It comes out in the poo later. If its large and sticking in his digestive tract then you got a problem. In the wild snakes ingest lots of foreign materials. Like Leaf Litter, Dirt, Wood chips, rocks. What ever sticks to the animal they are eating goes down the gullet and out the poop shoot.

As long as he didn't swallow your pet cat with it things are fine.

yeah it is bad if he swallows too much.. it can expand and kill him!
