it keeps scracthing its eye and closes its eye it also flinches please help i cant take it 2 the vet

It probably has an eye infection. Soak it in tepid water and apply terramycin eye ointment (you can buy this at turtlestuff.com) You didn't say what kind of turtle. If it's a box turtle, it may not be getting enough vitamin A. If it's an aquatic turtle, clean the water.

It can be either an eye infection or a symptom of respiratory infection.
If a box turtle- vitamin A problems.
If a water turtle- infection from dirty water or some other source.

What do you mean you "can't take it to the vet"? If you can't afford to take an animal to the vet, you shouldn't have bought it in the first place. Give it to someone who can care for it properly.
Keep in mind that pet ownership is not all about you. It's as much about the care and welfare of the pet as anything else.

Why can't you take it to the vet?
What kind of turtle is it? What temperature is the basking spot/ambient temp/water temp?

You should give your turtle some eye drops, if you have some at hand (not necessarily eye drops for turtles, you could use the ones for people)
I have had lots of turtles...they also got that...only one survived :S
I REALLY HOPE YOURS CAN MAKE IT!
It's a very common thing in turtles :S

ohhh im so sorry turtles are so cute that sucks. I would def take him into the vet asap.

it will most likely die.. keep it warm and out of the water but not dry for too long.. give it some eyedrops.
