no, i would not recommend it. they are voracious little guys however, stick to a diet of diverse leafy greens, plenty of UV exposure and the occasional insect/ lean ground beef (very rarely)
to the first poster, please do not comment on a topic that you do not understand. turtles and tortoises ARE reptiles, and are NOT by any means amphibians. amphibians are characterized by a very permeable skin, and the most recognizable of which are the toads, frogs and salamanders and newts. reptiles ar characterized by a tough skin that holds water in the body- divided into tuartas, snakes,turtles and tortoises, and lizards.

They can, and sometimes like it, but it is not good for them.

Yes they can eat bread- but they shouldn't. Where would they get bread in the wild? Aquatic turtles eat aquatic plants & animals. You should read some books on basic turtle care.
BTW, genius Joe cool above me, turtles are REPTILES.

I believe that the bread can bung up the turtle and kill it, but ask a vet to make sure

i don't know but i do know this, turtles are not reptiles there amphibeans but u can put them in the reptile catagorie since they don't have amphibean as a catagorie.
