Well, this isn't really an urgent question answering or anything. I've come across something magnificent- all five turtles LOVE CORN!!! They attack it like it's their last meal! They're baby RES so when I put a piece of corn in, one of them chokes on it! But it's still determined to eat it! But then another turtle comes along and tries to eat it as well so it's like a tug of war between two of the turtles! It's absolutely thrilling to watch!!! Especially because my turtles hardly eat much of a variety of food. They'll eat like a piece of fruity pebble cereal every now and then- but only if its a red, they love pellets as much if not more than corn, and they'll eat lettuce (I'll leave a large piece of lettuce floating and when I'm not around they'll eat it as a last resort sort of thing and I come back to see a bunch of holes in it). Anyway, I've fed my turtles some corn after chopping it to bits and they're eating it like crazy! So I'm a bit curious, what do your turtles love to eat?

My turtle ate just regular turtle food, lettuce, and carrots. But its really cute to watch them eat the lettuce!

Neither corn nor lettuce (and especially not cereal) is a good meal item for turtles in general.

Just because they love to eat it does not mean it is good for them.

For young RES, try 1/2 good pellets, and 1/2 live or frozen/thawed fish foods like small fish, worms, insects, krill, shrimp, etc. Once they get to about 4-5" add in some dark, leafy greens.

Too much corn isn't good for them. You should be feeding more protein - shrimp, meal worms, earthworms, crickets, fish. Greens are also good. Try putting some water Hyacinth and water lettuce in for them as well. Reptomin is a good staple. You should probably stay away from Fruity Pebbles!
