I just bought a Madagascar Iguana (that was the name told by the salesman). I read on the internet that Iguanas ar naturaly Herbivourus animals, but that dude told me to feed him worms, maggots and chicken meat. I first tried some carrots and some cabbage...then some cheese and some meat. Nothing Worked. My Iguana does not look interested in any of does . I really dont want to start feeding him maggots and worms. What should I do? I will contact a vet tomorow, but the poor litle guy dint eat for like 24+ h.

I got a Baby Ball Python. Aug. 8. The pet store said to feed him the 10th. It is now the 25 and he still wont eat. I've tried two live mice and a frozen one. This is my first pet snake, and I don't know what to do.
Any ideas. Is this normal?

I've been feeding him in his habitat but dont want him to get used to that, havent had him long. I feed him prekilled so he doesnt expect his food to dangle in the air.

I put him in a new container for feeding, feed him... then what? Should I just reach in and put him into his habitat? Just wanted to make sure because I thought I'm not supposed to handle him after feeding because he might regurgitate the food.. is their a certain way I should hold him after he has eaten and I'm transferring him to his habitat?

Hi, I googled these and couldn't find much information, so if anyone could fill me in with a few of these questions I would appreciate it.

1. Do they live well together?
2. How old do they get?
3. How big do they get?
4. Do they tend to bite and scratch you alot if you have them as a pet?
5. How much does a baby cost and how much does an adult cost?

Cheers

How difficult is a turtle to keep as a pet? What do they eat? Do they get expensive to care for? We are thinking about getting a pet for our toddler...and a turtle sounds like an interesting option. Where would we find one to keep?

I have a 6month old ball python which I purchased 4 weeks ago. The guy in the pet shop said to feed him every 4-5 days on fussies which I'm doing, and the snake is eating well.

I have read various python books and care sheets which tell you different things on feed .. ie.. one book quotes, feed every 7/10 days, another book states twice a week and the latest advice I was given from a breeder was to feed say every saturday 1 fussie and when that had gone feed the snake another straight away !!!

What is your advise on feeding
