I have three of these guys, and I am following Terry Kilgore's plan- http://www.redfoots.com

It is great, BUT you have to have good temps, tank size, humidity, etc. as well for healthy tortoises.

On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: Greens- endive or escarole lettuce, turnip greens or dandelions.

Wednesday and Saturday: Fruit- a mix strawberries, melon, pineapple, mango, papaya, kiwi, cactus fruit, etc. Rarely bananas or grapes, very rarely things like apple or pears (focus on tropical fruits and berries). I use a frozen/thawed 'smoothie mix'. On Saturday, try to add something new or different.

Sunday: Meat- Terry uses several pellets of weight-maintenance cat foods, well-soaked, and lightly dusted with calcium carbonate. Serve meat in about a 1/2 size portion, and skip it for babies under about 6 months.

Portion size- a daily portion is about the size of the animal's head. When the turtle hits about a year old, skip a day or two a week, and skip more as it gets older.

I vary Terry's program a little: I use a few more kinds of dark leafy lettuce- based on what I can find locally that is fresh, and I use a sprinkle of vitamin mix 2x a week. I also let them graze on some safe garden stuff (edible and no chemicals in many years) outside.
