My RESs hatched 3 eggs about a month ago.
I made a incubation bucket filled with sand and covered the eggs slightly.
I'm not sure if I should check if the eggs are fertile or not.. Because I'm scared I'll crush the embryo.
When is the time about when they hatch?
The eggs have been untouched for the last month.
Thanks ;)

I have two in two tanks. One is "large flat" the other is "large tall".

I'd like to get them into the same tank, with a filter and more than 2-3" of water. These turtles are about 5" and I know they will grow much larger. I'm thinking at least a 30 breeder that is 36x18x12. Is this enough?

When we were just picking up our pet turtle by the edge of its shell, we were surprised by the softness of the edges!
It freaked us out! Perhaps coz of the lack of calcium it's receiving from its food! The turtle wasn't so active lately as well!

Do you know any natural way of providing turtles their calcium? Perhaps thru any kinds of vegetables or something??

I want a snake that doesn't get too huge and can eat frozen thawed out mice. I also want one that is good for beginners yet cheap. I would also want a snake that will not bite and that i can find at a local pet store such as PetSmart.

I just got a baby green iguana, and have him in a 30 gallon tall tank, i got him about a week ago... hes a real little guy. the tank has wood to climb, a dish full of food, and a dish full of fresh water. he has his basking light which hits above 90 depending on where he lays, and a reptisun 5.0, UVA/UVB light.

the problem is hes not eating really anything and hes getting really skinny, you can see his ribs. i attempted too even hand feed him, without success. he also sleeps all day and seems unconscious when he sleeps, he even sometimes falls off his log when hes sleeping. he only seems active when i move him outside or into the bath. he was only 10$, and i want to keep him, and i'm considering a vet, but i heard they can cost up to a couple hundred dollars, and i don't know if its worth it.

any help on what to do with this poor guy would be great.

i can also supply pictures if necessary

I know you aren't supposed to really have gravel in their tanks, but when I got him from the pet place (that specializes in aquarium pets) he had pebbles in his...so...I didn't want to change his environment. Plus, in the past, he always spit out the pebbles when he would eat. This time, he didn't. Is he as good as dead? Poor turtle.
He is acting normal so far...

I just got a new ball python snake 3 days ago. I think it is stressed because it won't move around in its cage. Today is the day it usually eats. I put the snake in a cardboard box with the pinky mouse but it is not eating it. How long should I wait before I take the snake out and put it back in the cage? How long should I wait till I try and feed it again? And what should I do with the pinky mouse?

I live in the white mountains of Arizona (so we do have mild winter snow) I would like to build a pond for my red eared slider, but need to know how to keep it clean and keep him warm during the winters. I am not willing to spend 1000 dollars on a pond and I am willing to get my hands dirty and do it myself. Does anyone have any good resources or personal experience that may assist me in this process? (the reason for the pond is that he is getting bigger and is ready to not be in an aquarium, I care about him and think he deserves the best house I can give him)

I recently added a UV light to my tank to strengthen my two turtles' shells. Whenever they bask under it, white blotches appear on their shells. When they go into the water, when they aren't basking directly under it, or when I turn the light off, the blotches eventually dissappear, only to come back when they bask under it again. What are these blotches? Are they normal?
