I have a bearded and I used to breed them as well. They will be fine. Beardeds are not that easily stressed which is exactly what makes them such personable pets and tolerate handling so well. They are shipped by breeders all the time, so the short outing you describe is nothing to worry about. If you had a fragile and easily stressed reptile like a chameleon then I would say have your friends over instead.
If the plastic cage is clear then I would cover it during the trip. Also, their activity level can rise dramatically when they are exposed to sunlight . Be very careful about taking them out of the travel cage and showing them to your friends if you are outside, they could bolt away from you very quickly.

this can easily done, I'm Australian & have been keeping, breeding & displaying reptiles, inparticular beardies for over 20 years & its their hardiness that makes them such a wonderful pet to own.
lets face it we get temps here that reach 35 - 40 degree celcius(thats about 95 - 105 F) every year for months on end, & thats just in sydney so i dont think the heat will be a factor unless of course you keep them in direct sunlight.
my only concern is their age at 2 months they will stress out if passed from person to person it may not show but it will be there.place the animal on your chest and let the people pat it, try to limit ecessive handling at this age.
i do many reptile displays & like to think my reptiles travel comfortably. my lizards travel in a pillow case thats turned inside out so their scales dont catch on any loose threds, & if its hot & i have to travel for a while for the next display i also use a hot water bottle, that of course is filled with cold water, wet the pillow case, wring it out place the lizard in the pillow case on top of the water bottle into the traveling box & away we go.
you may think a pillow case but trust me it will have a calming effect.

Hope this helped
