I kinda think hes fat but I need to read my bearded dragon care guide first before I cut back on his food, but I just want to know what you guys think. He walks on his arms because they are huge. I dont know if he just cant support himself when he walks on his hands, because of his love of mealworms, or if its just a lot of muscle. Is there a way of telling if they are eating too much and are fat? Ok, not really "fat" but more like has eatin way too much over his lifetime of 8 months. I dont know what a fat lizard is explained as these days.

I have a predicament and I need you guys to help me out. Here's the Situ:
I got a red eared slider about a year ago. he was an inch and a half big. he's grown to be about 5 inches. In that time I bought him a 40 gal. tank to live in. Thinking the tank was empty, I decided to get some fish for him to eat. Liking the activity in the tank, I decided to get more fish, one's that were more visually appealing. Now, I have a fuller tank, but every now and then one of them *suddenly* disappears. i've grown attached to keeping the fish and the turtle has kept my selection quite limited. So the dilemma is...would it be bad to surrender the turtle to keep fish instead? I know for many of you it's not an issue but I feel like I'm *betraying* the turtle. After all, I did buy the tank for the turtle.

Just let me know what you think. Thanks!

There is lots of red blood vesuls i can see in the egg with a flashlight and a little shading area around the vesuls. How long shoulds it take for them to hatch at the temp. and how much development should i see in the eggs at that time?

He hates to be picked up! He will bite if I try. I havent seen him eat, and he will take off running real fast and hit his face on the glass if I walk by. How on earth do you tame these creatures. This is the hardest one I've had to care for.

Daughter brought in a small spider, was about 1cm in length but may be young so adult size may be bigger.
The top of the main body was white ,with 2 pencil thin reddish stripes on.The bottom of the main body seemed dark possibly black, can anyone shed some light on what type it is.
Love spiders so have put it at the bottom of our garden,we often get spiders in the house but have never seen this one.

Hope you can help identify this,as i would be very interested to know what it is and how common they are.

Ok, so I already asked a question about my hermit crabs sand and where I can get some cheap sand: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AscPLIqdYb_54tTPxxwFA0nsy6IX?qid=20070811112717AAz76po

Kimbee J recommended that I get the sand from The Home Depot. Since it's a lot cheaper, and, you get more sand! But, I was woundering, does anyone have a link for that? Like, could someone point me in the right direction of The Home Depot online site, but, it is already in the sand section? Thank you SO much, and, 10 points to whoever gives me the right site, first!
