I recently went to a local lake and caught a few little tadpoles. I live in washington state and I have no idea what kind of frogs they are. I was feeding the tadpoles goldfish food and also algae flake like the pet store people told me to. now they are frogs and I'm not sure what to feed them. I bought crickets but they will not get here for another couple days and I don't know what to feed them in the mean time. Also I heard that the frogs can drown since their gills stop working. should the water be super shallow so they can easily stick their heads out of water? I do have basking area where they can completely out of the water but I'm not sure where the water level should be.... PLEASE HELP!!!!! The more info the better

It's been about four days since the last time my leopard gecko has eaten.

How can I tell if gut impaction has occurred and how do I fix it? I'm really worried.

I have two small slider turtles (a 3-inch yellow-belly and a 2-inch red-ear) in a 46-gallon tank with mixed cichlid fish. The yellow-belly has some white fungus on his head, which I just noticed a few hours ago. I read that this may be because I haven't been giving them enough sunlight, and I really don't. But here's my question: Would it be a good idea to leave them in the sun for a few hours a day? I live in Florida and it's over 90 degrees outside. The water temp in their tank is around 82 degrees. I also gave them some new food for the first time today, I don't know if that would cause the fungus. Any help would be appreciated.

i tried feeding her romaine lettuce shreds 3 times, pieces of a banana once, carrot shreds once, and she doesnt even seem to inspect them but she gobbles up bloodworms. I havent had her more than a month but her shell looks like its pyramiding. i know young turtles are highly carniverous but she needs some plant matter. any ideas?

Since she came out of brumation in Spring, she's been rubbing her nose on the metal screen of her tank lid. which is bad. I thought maybe she just wanted to go breed, but isn't breeding season over by now? Why hasn't she settled down?

She does it around nightfall. If I open her tank, she instantly shoots out and tries to go somewhere, which is unlike her.

I got another snake just before she went into brumation -- do you think she smells the other snake and wants to eat him? The new snake is in a separate enclosure (of course) and is about 3 feet away from her. Am I gonna have to move the new guy? I moved him once but she kept acting in this strange way.

So I'm planning to get an iguana very soon.
I want my iguana to like me, and I really don't want it to be scared of me. I'm sure some of you people on here have one, and have expierience with them..

so I am here asking, once I get my iguana.. what should I do with him? Leave him alone for awhile? hm?
