hes a young iguana broke of his tail what should i do how long will it take for it to grow back

Iguanas will drop their tail as a line of defense. If you grab their tail, its like a bird or other animal has them. Even after the tail drops off, it will continue to move to distract whatever has it. He will not die. Just make sure that the stump of his tail does not show signs of infection. He will eventually grow it back, but how long it takes can vary, mainly depending on how good his diet and health are.

no ur pet will not die but it will need to go to a vet to go get checked out. it will take a long while it depends on how far he broke off his tail and i would not worry but just in case you should get him checked out by a vet. It normally takes 1-6 months to grow back.

No he wont die. He's gonna be fine. It will take several weeks for his tail to grow back. It just wont be quite as long as it was to start with.

Itll grow back but not i think as long as before heel look funny 4 a while though.

a little of his tail will grow back but not much and it will never look the same as it was before it will always look a little funky

particular they're going to in case you scare them. they're going to drop the tail with a view to get faraway from a Predator. The tail is eaten by ability of a few predators. that is crammed with fat and food. wish this helped some.
