I have two mississippi mud turtles. They are about five years old. and i have them in a large tank with just the right amount of water. One of the turtle is bigger than the other. The big one keeps messing around with the little one, and all the little one does is run frantically away from the big turtle. once the big turtle gets the little one he flips himself sideways holding on tightly until i seperate them. theyve just started to act like this last month. I want to know whats wrong with them? if you need additional details just ask.

2 of my turtles died recently and i dont know how it happen..i dont know wether its the pipe water or the food or anything..my mum said it could be the water,its got chlorine right? are they not suppose to be in that?? my turtle kept opening its mouth(like yawning) and stays at one place and didnt eat at all, their shell are also quite soft or maybe its just bcos its still a baby?? pls help b4 my other turtles dies!!

this question and was told by someone to apply neosporin on its shell and leave it for 4 hours and i did so.The white spots disapeared but they have again started appearing on its shell...What should i do???Should i use neosporin again?im afraid the white spots will appear again...Plzz suggest some ointment...My turtle is 1 inch long an is a RES.

i have got a 1.5 year old hermans tortoise that at the moment lives in a vivaruim i have reasearch the internet and have realised tht tortoise tables are a better home for a tortoise to live in, but i was wondering how the heat in the tortoise table is maintained as in a vivarruim the heat is traped in , have you got any ideas

I would love to see them in thier natural habbitat and haven't seen any alive ones! Only dead ones on the road! I live in the south of france so it shouldn't be too hard to find them!

My ultimate goal is to handle a wild garter snake or grass snake before releasing it back into the wild.

1)Are there any games or unusual ways of exercising a corn snake other than holding it?
2)Is it possible to MAKE a snake's water bowl?
I want to be able to paint it to make it look realistic. What should I make it out of?
3) How can I cut costs when buying/ decorating my vivarium?
4) Are there any sort of other corn snake suitable accesories that I could make? I'm quite good at art and think I could give anything a go...

all he wants to do is sleep and hide under the wood chip stuff!
i cant get him to eat && he sits there and scratches at the tank and bangs him self on the tank!!!
what do i do???

my beardy is changing colour! he was kinda greenish/greyish with red ears and now he's turned yellowish over night. ears are still bright red though. is that normal or do i need to be worried? he's about 2-3 months old.

i have just recently purchased a baby corn snake. i have to drive for 3 hours and i was wondering if it would harm the snake at all if it wasnt in the correct temperature because i obviously cannot turn the tank's heater in the car. is there anything i should do to prepare for the 3 hour drive and is there anything i should know about this??

what do i need in order to have a water turtle. im going to get two this weekend and i thought i should know what they eat what they need the whole shabang. i think im going to get the small ones not the big ones because i dont have a big tank. suggestions?????? thanks lot guys.

I have had a RES for about 4 years. I just built a beautiful pond in my back yard. I live in southwestern North Carolina. Will he survive if I put him in the pond?I was planning on keeping some feeder guppies and feeding him pellets daily. I don't want to get rid of him or anything I just thought he might be happier out there. There is lots of room to swim and I put a LARGE rock wall around so he can't wander.

He used to be a beautiful shade of blinding bright green and now he has a brown tint. Is he going to shed his skin soon or does his diet make him a different color? Also sometimes when I pick him up he goes into the snake equivalent of an alligator death roll and freaks me out! I mean he's all over the place. Is there a better time to handle him to get him tame? Like after a meal, at night, first thing in the morning??

I had recently bought mealworms for my red eared slider from my a petshop near my house and my turtle loved them but the nexy day when i put my turtle in a separate container to feed it like I always do it would always try to climb. I've always feed it in the same container. What do you think is happenning? Oh and also i feed it reptomin turtle stix. My turtle is about 3 inches. I got it when it was the size or a quarter. Its 1 years old.
