I have two mississippi mud turtles. They are about five years old. and i have them in a large tank with just the right amount of water. One of the turtle is bigger than the other. The big one keeps messing around with the little one, and all the little one does is run frantically away from the big turtle. once the big turtle gets the little one he flips himself sideways holding on tightly until i seperate them. theyve just started to act like this last month. I want to know whats wrong with them? if you need additional details just ask.

It would be helpful to know the turtle's sizes and how much water there really is in there. The 'right' amount of water is abuot 10 gallons of water per inch of shell length.

The problem you are describing is common when the turtles are stressed and one becomes aggressive. Overcrowding is a common reason it happens.

i think your turtles might be mateing. if not what ever store or place you got your turtles from tell what your turtles do and ask them for what you should do.

Are they opposite sex's? Possibly mating....

Is their habitat big enough?

The reason I ask is this could be territorial as well...
