In the wild snakes spend most of their time and energy foraging for food while it is simply handed to them in captivity. You could construct something that he would have to crawl through and search through in order to find his food. I was thinking of several small boxes like cereal or cracker boxes glued together with various entry holes from one box to the other. You could place the thawed food at one end, start your snake at the other end and let him"hunt".
Dollar stores are a great source for plastic plants for vivariums. I'm always looking for interesting wood and rock when I'm out. Wood does not cause the spontaneous generation of mites but it should be baked or soaked in hot soapy water before use. You can create some naturalistic hide spots and landscaping by using aquarium silicone to join pieces of wood and rock together. Just make sure you let them cure for a few days before use.

As a ways as I can inform the water is both from a) the snake by some means tipping the bowl (ordinarily seeking to get underneath the bowl as a position to cover.) b) the rainy subject is from the snake probably urinating in that spot. c) if the snake likes coming into the water then the damp spot might be from it getting out of the water after being in it. I'd take a look at going to Petsmart or petco and asking them for recommendation. Hope this is helping.

when i had mine we just let them move about the tank or on us for exercise.
we didn't play games with them. that might lead to injury
you could make the bowl sure, just make sure you use non toxic matterials.
we purchased our water dish from a store and it was very "natural" looking.
don't use wood- it leads to mites. use plastic decorations or those specificaly for snakes.
we had wood in ours and our snakes had mites till we removed it and treated them.
i would just shop in the reptile area of your pet store or shop online for accessories.
