Well, if you went to the link provided by the previous poster you will have noticed that Uros are not strict herbivores. Primarily yes, but not strictly. All of the care sheets in the link suggest feeding a small amount of insects on around a weekly basis.

You can offer a small amount of vegetable based baby food to your Uro but I can't think of any advantage to using it. Better to stick to a non-processed diet.

Thea is correct, mali`s love fresh food, admittedly baby food is convenient to use. The best thing is fresh greens with a vitamin supplement. Crickets and vitamin powder shook up together in a bag make a great treat. It`s fun to watch them sort of stalk and munch the crickets, remember though crickets have almost no nutritional value.

No, baby food is not good for uromastyx. They require fresh vegetation only. Stay away from fruit as well. It contains too much sugar and can be harmful to them. They should not be fed insects either. Malis are strict herbivores. There are some species that can eat small amounts of anim,al protein but for most uros it will cause renal failure and gout.
