Already have ghost shrimp in 1 with a Betta. Looking for something different for another 2.5 gallon with Betta. I really would like to go with crustaceans, but need something that will stay small. Are there minature crawfish (that stay smaller than, let's say 1.5" ?

ok.......i got one of those sea monkey kits nd my baby brother didnt know what they were so he was smahing the packet with the eggs in them (which couldnt be good) Then he ripped open the water conditioner nd it went everywhere! so i put a little drop of stress coat in the water instead. I put the eggs in 4 hrs. l8r nd nothing happened. now it is 26 hrs. later nd there is no life in my tank. I think my lil bro killed them when he smashed them. =( the eggs dissolved and ther is nothing but water in my tank. (By the way, when i put the eggs in i saw that ALOT of them were already dead nd out of their shells. So should i wait 4 some sort of miracle or should i just get new eggs?

My husband wants to set up some more tanks in our house to breed fish. He feels there is some money to be made selling good breeds of fish. I am not so sure that's going to work. I think myself if this was that easy, everyone would be doing it, but he is telling me about bloodlines being pure and watching the babies to keep good quality and stuff like that. Is this going to work out good for us to get some more tanks?

I cleaned my fish tank out a week ago. I changed out half the water. It is now a very cloudy green. I tested the PH, amonia, nitrites, nitrates, and salt level and everything is correct. I can barely see my fish but they are still alive. I don't know what is wrong. Any suggestions?

I have three tanks. I know I have Ich in one tank, and I am afraid I have Ich in a second. I had ordered several fish online, and although I contacted the breeder when I discovered the ich asking them to hold my order, they apparently didn't get the message and sent the fish anyway. So Friday I received an order containing 17 small fish, (10 green fire tetras, 7 SAEs) which should have been distributed among the three different tanks. I had no choice and had to put them all into my 29 gallon tank. Fortunately, it was understocked with only 10 fish since I hadn't decided what to keep with my aggressive serpae tetras.

However, as I am sure you can guess, my previously perfect ammonia and nitrite levels have gone up. My ammonia levels look just under .25, but my nitrite levels look like about .2 . I did about a 30% water change on Satuday and a 35% one yesterday, I plan to do another big one today, and I added Nitro-bac, but is there anything else I can do to help?

I had three lemon tetras in a recently cycled tank. My readings all looked great, so, a week ago, I added five blue tetras. Instant Ich in three of the five blues. So I slowly turned up the heat and added salt, which has killed my plants, but the fish seem to be doing well. No more new cases of Ich; only one fish still has the spots. I would really rather not use medications if I can avoid it, as I keep freshwater shrimp. (I hadn't added them to this tank yet because it had finished cycling too recently, but I would like to down the road.)

When I discovered the ich in the tank, I immediately got paranoid and turned to the tank I had seeded it from. I was sure I saw a couple of white spots, so I turned up the heat and started adding salt. The next morning I couldn't find more than one fish with even the possibility of a spot. So I am not at all certain that there is ich in the second tank, but I am not sure how to determine if the tank is infected after all.
