I have a smaller tank and just want a couple of fish. I really like the black mollies. Can I put two of these together? I've read that they do best in groups of 3, but what if I get two males?

I have another similar question posted, but is there another fish that would be better? I don't want goldfish or bettas. Also don't want a bunch of babies. Someone had suggested Dwarf gourami with a cory..would that work? I'm open to suggestions!

It's a little goldfish-like thing and it swam into a hole in the rock decoration and got stuck. When i found it, it was hitting its head against the rocks and trying to get out. I pulled it backwards out and now it's back is all scratched up and it's right fin is brocken.

please help me, what should i do?

(I have a lobster in the aquarium who might eat it if it's fast enough but its generally too lazy to ever try to catch the fish.)

I Want to set up a 75l-90l Dwarf puffer species only tank. I wonder if anyone could tell me any information about setting up a tank like this, e.g what substrate to use, how many plants to use and any other info you could give me about the tanks. All answers appreciated.

Hello! I'm on day two of my saltwater setup and already I've got a lot of questions! Most I've been able to find answers to online, but this one sort of has me stumped. I've got a 55 gal tank with an Emperor Marine 400 filter with charcoal filters (2) and biowheels (2), a Maxi Jet pump with a Seaclone protein skimmer, 10 pounds of live rock, live sand, one blue damsel.

I just tested my pH and got 7.8 and I tested my ammonia to see if the cycling had started yet but ammonia is still at 0 ppm. My fish, however, seems stressed... is exhibiting all the behaviors of high ammonia. I did not test anything else yet.

I started my tank two days ago and used a product called AmQuel, as per recommendation of store owner. Now that I understand a bit more about cycling, I'm confused about why I'd WANT to use AmQuel. Didn't I just set back the cycling process as my ammonia is at 0ppm?? Help! Do I need more fish? Live rock?

I have three suckermouth catfish (otocinclus). They have done a good job at controlling the algae in my tank, most of it is gone. The problem is they won't eat any of the food that I offer. I give them peas, salad leafs and sinking food tablets but they won't touch them. Any suggestions?

I have a fully cycled 5 gallon freshwater tank. I'd like to get a couple of nice fish for it. What kinds of fish do well with just a pair? I'm looking for something pretty hardy as I'm still new at keeping tropical fish and keeping the tank levels (ph etc.) has proved to be a little tricky. I DO NOT want golfish or bettas. Any help?

I've had lots of fresh watter fish, but no salt watter. I have live sand, all the test stuff, good quality salt mix, power heads, and an over the side filter for a 30-60 gallon tank. I also would like to build my own wet/dry filter but know nothing about them. Im sure any info would help!

My clown loach seems a bit down... (no jokes please - lol)
normally he dives about, 'dancing' as I've seen it called sometimes. But today he's been quite still, not even mooching about the bottom very much. Recently I bought a plec, and noticed when I got it home that it had fin rot, I tried unsuccessfully to treat it and he died... Do you think my Clown Loach could be poorly (he looks fine) or could he be just stressed...
Thanks

I have a 50-55 gallon tank which has been quite stable for months. recently we did a 1/3 water change, and replaced dying plants with new. Since then the water has turned bright green and won't clear up at all. Can anyone suggest anything. The fish don't seem to mind (it's been 3 weeks) but it looks horrible. it used to be crystal clear.

i bought a real plant from the pet shop. The problem is that, after its been in the water, it begins to break up so that it ends up with several long bits of plant floating at the top. How can i hold the plant together in the stones to prevent it from moving? Can i use elastic bands or something?
Thankyou.

Ive owned tropical fish for a number of years now, having had no problems. last weekend i emptied the tank and moved the fish to a temporary tank and gave the existing tank a blimin good clean.
I filled the tank up, and allowed the tank to warm to the correct temperature. My usual procedure is then to test the water to check for copper ect, which came back fine.
My poor fish apart from 3 have died. whats gone wrong?
In the years i have done this its never happnened!!!
My only theory to why its happened is i introdued some new fish to the tank a few days earlier. Would they have maybe had a disease and spread it on to my healthy fish?

Thanks in advance.
