The male guppy has been recently poking her, she is a little big, but that might just be the size of her. Is she pregnant?

I just bought a plecostomus (those algae eating fishes) a week ago. he is in a tank that is 75 degrees and is well filtered.

The lamp on the tank causes some algae to grow in the tank.
However, it seems like my plecostomus is hungry, but does not eat the algae. I'm guessing it is because the algae grows near the top of the tank, and my Pleco is a bottom dweller and is too afraid to go to the top.
I have clipped down some spinach for him also but he has not eaten any of the spinach either.
So my pleco seems very hungry, but also at the same time not wanting to eat anything.

I am not sure what to do to have him not starve.

Okay, I have a five gallon tank (it's temporary I plan on getting a twenty or twenty-five soon. And as soon as I buy it and let it cycle I plan on putting them all in there) and in it I have a dwarf power blue gourami, dwarf red gourami and two dwarf sunset honey gourami. And they're all doing fine, swimming eating, all the things happy fish do, LOL. No, they're not fighting. I was wondering what else I could add to my tank (my future one. My five gallon temporary is already a tad to small for them, I know). I was hoping one of my male Bettas, because I have a very non-aggressive one in another tank....He doesn't even flare at the other betta in it's tank! (Of course they are separated with a divider that came with an detachable blue shading thing. So that once in a while, they can have some fun and I pull up the shader (NOT the divider though.)) Anyway, I've read that's not a good idea. I've also read though that keeping other gouramis together is bad too. So I'm obviously confused.

I fed some very small peices of canned (cooked) corn to my fish. Angel, Swordtail, Cory, Gourami. They all really liked it. Then I got to thinking, is that OK to feed them?

I just bought a 30 gallon fish aquarium the other day. I let it run its course for 24 hours before introducing new fish to the tank. Now it is cloudy. How do I clear it up? It has a new pump and filter and new gravel. I have washed everything, including the gravel before putting them into the tank. What can I do to get the cloudiness gone? Any help will be appreciated. This is my first "big" tank, I have had the 10 gallon tanks in the past and none have ever clouded like this 30 gallon tank. Thanks!

I just got back from class and noticed small white spots on my fish's fins and tail and it is scratching against the side of the tank and other objects in the tank. After doing some research, I determined that my fish has ick and I am in the process of gradually adding salt to the tank. How long should it take to kill the parasite? I have to take the fish home with me over spring break and I don't want to do anything that will impede its healing. Thanks.
