When should I remove the male Betta?

I see little blackish specks moving around the bubble nest! are they the fry? This is my first time. Please tell me what the stages are with the spawning?????

yes males are more likely to eat there children but to be total safe move the eggs to another tank with no fish just let them try to survive with the parents and you will either lose the mother and children or the father and children one way one will kill the other and if the mother is to weak to fend for the young ones they would be helpless. Betta are fighting fish unfortunately .. but blackish specks mean embryos.. next you will see almost the exactly like humans.. start from sperm and eggs and grows to a mature fish.. but next you will see a tiny version of the parents but still they will be vulnerable to what ever fish is in there with them

Generally once they are free swimming, or he stops tending the nest. Now is when you need to be sure you have food for the fry.

Remove him when they can swim on their own. It is important that he stay until then because if they fall from the nest he will pick them up and put them back. If they aren't put back, they will not be able to get to the surface to breathe.

leave him in until they swim freely (5 days scince they are born) BUT LEAVE A LITE NEAR AND ON OVER KNIGHT SO HE DOESENT STREES AND START TO EAT THE FRY or in other words at 5 days of born remove the male and start suministrating food apropiriate to their size like commercial liquid food.
