It is a 300 gallon wet/dry with a 1200 dual overflow box and a 1250 pump. It has 10 gallons of Bio balls and sump capacity of 35 gallons.

I have a 125 gallon tank and I like that this wet/dry has a sump capacity of 35 gallons. That is about perfect since I do a 25% waterchange weekly and that would make it easy to fill up. I could just fill the sump up instead of filling my tank up. I don't know much about wet/drys so I was wonering if It would be to big.

I've just changed his water and he's now lying on his side, not moving. He's dying, and I don't know why. He keeps twitching every now and again, like he's gasping for air. What do I do?

I'm in the middle of cleaning my fish tank right now, and I'm wiping down the inside and outside of the tank. I'm using the same rag I used for doing the dishes. I kept remembering to rinse the rag very well before wiping the inside of the tank, except for the last time ... when I squeezed out the rag, a few bubbles were in the tank, and my rag still smelled a little like dish soap. Is this going to seriously harm my fish? I need to let the water in the tank sit for 24HRS anyways. HELP!

I have two pair of convicts. A black pair, and a pink pair. The pink pair were the first of the four to breed. They made their nest and she laid her eggs, But the blacks didnt pair off and breed. Now the Male pink and the female black has laid a nest together and are breeding. So as you can imagine, all hell has broken loose in my tank. I have a male who has knocked up two females, plus a smaller male that cant swim anywhere and scared to death. Is there any way to fix this with out buying anything... Please help!

I just bought my oscars and pacus. they're pretty small. I was just thinking that when the oscars lay on the bottom, the crayfish seem to claw at the oscars, but they seem to have no effect. do u think it is a bad idea to leave them together??

I'm not too fond of plastic plants but someone told me that they are necessary when setting up a new aquarium.Does anyone know if this is true and why?

I have a 10 gal aquarium w/ 1 Oranda, 1 Lionhead & 2 Fantail Goldfish, and while they started out small they've nearly doubled in size since I bought them - I've read that goldfish need 2gals of water per 1 inch of fish. Is this true? I have a friend who has 7 goldfish, 1 Pleco, & 1 catfish in a 10 gal aquarium and he says I'm worrying about the size of the aquarium for nothing. Since buying a larger tank at this point is not an option financially, what is the best way to care for them, and keep them healthy until I can afford a larger one?

How many months does a convict take to reach its full size? And when does a male convict start growing its hump? I actually have a male convict which i bought 5 months back when it was about less than 1" in size, I was not intrested in the fish, but the shopkeeper had only left with one, so he gave me that fish free along with something I purchased, Now it is more than 3" in size, and also had grown a prominent hump, its my favourite in the tank. Now I also have a green terror & some africans in the same tank (30g). Ive planned to shift the africans into another 75g, so the combination of a convict & a green terror(now 4") will be fine along with plecos & loaches(or corys) in the same 30g tank? Sometimes theres a conflict between convict & GT, will they be fine with some decent rockwork? Pleas give the answers to all the three questions

We had ick in our tank 4 days before my 2 new koi were added. The tank cycled for 3 days with the QuICK cure and it was gone. Now, my new fish are flashing and it seems to be happening more at night. I can't figure out what's going on? All day long they are fine and then at night they start doing it again. What should we do? I added QuICK cure again last night to see if that'll work. Do fish flick themselves on the rocks for any other purpose than having a parasite? These are expensive fish and I don't want them ruining their scales...HELP!!!

The filter was given to me, and i need to know how to use it. It is brand new, not with box. Or if one could e-mail me and tell me. I also need to know about replacing or cleaning the actual filtering parts. Hope this make sense.

My aquarium water turned a dense green about an hour after filling it with clean water. I drained it and refilled it and again within an hour it was solid green. I've done this four times and can't get it clear. What happened? I tried putting everything in boiling water, filling the tank with boiling water but as soon as it cools it's green again. I've never had this problem before.

Has anyone ever used Flourish Excel for Carbon Dioxide source instead of CO2 injection (regulators and diffusers)? If you have used it, how did it effect your fish and your plants and the overall water quality in your tank?

I just bought a 29 gal tank and wanted to put a single oscar in it after doing research it looks like it will outgrow this. Are these people being over cautious because it seems if the fish only grows to max 12 inches it should be okay in a well filtered 29 gal tank. I would buy a 55 but Have got the water in it already and it's set to go. I dont want to upgrade in the future so can it live in this tank alone healthy it's entire life. otherwise whats another good fit for the tank similar to oscar's maybe some kind of cichlid???

Would 1 tadpole a day do? Or does it need more?

What else can i feed it?

And how big should the tank be?

Could it survive in a green pond?

thanks

i recently moved my female mollies from a 10gallon to the bigger 24g nano cube, and moved the males into the 10g i only have four males and after some acidental breeding i now have 17 females. this morning i found one of the female mollies swimming erradically. she can not stay straight even when resting she looks like she is bent near the tail looks sort of like the ( key. when she does swim, its in loops, either sprialing from the side or doing back flips, there is no sign of ICK, and i can see nothing else physically wrong. i moved her into a 1 gallon tank with a small filter and added some marycn 2. but i have no idea what is wrong with her and am not sure if it is going to effect all the other inhabitants of the tank she was in. any idea what this may be and how best to treat it.
thanks
