Would 1 tadpole a day do? Or does it need more?

What else can i feed it?

And how big should the tank be?

Could it survive in a green pond?

thanks

You need to feed him a very diverse diet; oscars are surprisingly susceptible to malnutrition that can lead to diseases like hole-in-the-head.
He should be fed a staple of cichlid pellets. You should give him one meal of cichlid pellets every day, as many as he can eat in about 45 seconds. Then for a second meal on most days, you can give him a couple crickets, or a couple earthworms, some shrimp, a few pieces of beefheart.

The tank should be at least 60 gallons for one oscar.

He should not be kept in a pond, no. The temperature of his water should be around 78F.

An Oscar should at least be in a 55 gallon. That's the bare minimum. a 75 gallon would work better. You really couldnt put but maybe 1 more other large swimming fish with an oscar in a tank like this. A Plecos yes as they don't take up much swimming space.

As for an Oscar living in a pond, I wouldn't really know, it depends on the location. If you live in a warm place say Florida then yes. If you live in a cold place than the Oscar would have to come in when during the cooler months. They are not goldfish, they need warm water of at least a temp. in the 70's.

As for what to feed it, a tadpole is questionable. Where did you get these tadpoles? If it's from the wild it may be contaminated with a foreign disease. I wouldn't risk it. I feed my oscar Krill and brime shrimp, you can buy it at most stores that stock fish food.

Hope I helped in some way.

No, one tadpole per day is not enough food. And it is not a properly balanced and nutritious diet. You def. need to be feeding him pellets. You can also mix it up by feeding him, plankton, blood worms, mill worms, small fish, brine shrimp, they have pellets specifically for Oscars as well, you can find those at Petco. Just give him a well balanced diet and he should be fine. Good luck!!

I would say to experiment a little maybe?

It can depend on a lot of things... Maybe put it in a bowl or something with a few tadpoles and see how long it takes for it too eat them... And just make sure there's always 2 or so? =]

As for the others. Sorry, but Iono... :[

A local pet store in my city also throws in a couple of crickets. As for the other questions I can't help you on them.
