I recently bought some little kuhli loaches. When bought, the guy at the store gave me some large pellets called, "Nutrafin Spirulina Algae Tablets" These tablets are fairly large considering the size of the fish. The tablets sink to the bottom, and eventually break apart, are my kuhli's eating these? Or what is going to happen. I only have two kuhli's, plus a betta in there ( just testing relationships.) So what is the best thing to do?

Hi, I used to have a betta in a 2.5 gallon tank with a few live plants. The poor betta died (he was over 3 years old!) and now we are moving, so I'm not getting a new fish until after we move. My question is: During the move, can I drain the water from the tank? Or will that kill my plants? If I can't drain the water, do you have any suggestions for transporting live aquatic plants?

i recently just bought 2 female bettas and right now they are still establishing the pecking order (chasing each other around). so basically the first day fish A chased fish B around, and starting day 2 and today, it was fish B chasing around fish A. a lot of the time fish A is hiding around at the bottom or around the plants (she's so good at it that i can hardly find her sometimes). my problem is when i feed them, fish B is the one eating all the food (will make her fat) and fish A stays at the bottom and doesn't attempt to eat. is this normal during the pecking order stage? or should i take out fish B and put in food so fish A can come up and get it without being scared of being chased around?

We have had this tank for about a year, with 5 large goldfish and 1 kind of goldfish with the pop out looking eyes.
One fish, (she is about 4 in. long) keeps almost floating to the top of the tank. She seems to be attempting to swim lower, but it seems as if she is full of air. She never did this until a few weeks ago. She reaches the top of the water and goes to one side. It looks as if she is struggling. But, then sometimes she acts fine and swims correctly. There are no signs of injury that I can see.
We did move, but this fish was acting this way beforehand. They are still eating the same food.
Their tank is one of those large octagonal sized ones, almost 3 feet tall, and about 2 feet across.
Is she dying? What can I do to help her?

PLEEEEEEEEEZ READ THE DETAILS!!!

I got him a couple months ago, and he wouldn't eat very much... he would eat, just not very much. I've never had a betta in my whole life that would eat a lot, but all of the sudden, that betta's always hungry! He'll stick his mouth above the water for a very long time and whenever I put food in, he shreds it up and eats it and waits for more... I'm not overfeeding him, but I feel like I am, because he is begging for so much food all the sudden... I don't think I'm feeding him too much... seriously, I've NEVER in my entire lifetime seen a betta want to eat so much!!! And I thought bettas were picky... and you know what that betta likes? FLAKE FOOD! And I thought bettas hate flake food... WHY is he eating like a monster? Is he on a growth spurt or does he have something wrong with him? The other day, he was so hungry he ate a piece of HAIR and I had to pull it out of his mouth!!! Is my betta going to turn into a monster?
