If you just watch them you will see the male trying to get to the female. The gestation period of a guppy is 22-26 days. When the female guppy becomes fertilized, a dark area near the anus, known as the gravid spot, will enlarge and darken. Guppies prefer water temperatures of about 22 °C (72 °F) for reproduction. After giving birth, the female is ready for conception within a few hours. If a male does not mate with the female soon after birth, the female can use stored sperm from the previous mating. Good Luck!!!!!

Guppies typically reproduce about every 30 days and give birth to litters approximately 20 times throughout their lives. The researchers found that as female guppies aged, they began to skip litters or even stop reproducing for extended periods of time, effectively ceasing to reproduce after a certain age. In other words, the guppies were going through a fish version of menopause.

PS.and guppies do not lay eggs and u can tell if they are going to have babies because they will get really really fat.

They have live young (Fry) but are very small (smaller than pinhead at birth) and apparently very delectible!!! They need breeder grass or lots of small hiding places so they don't all get eaten up by dad and mom. A seperate tank is best for 1st few weeks. You will also need some fry food.

you have to put artificial grass in the bottom of your aquarium, the female will be fertilized by the male through a liquid released in the water near the female in the grass.
the eggs remain in her belly until hatching.

huh?!?
Guppy's do it like bunnies, if you have just one male and one female, they will reproduce quickly. The male one inseminates the female and the female "poops" out the babie in a grassy area.
