We had a hiding structure inside our betta's tank, and I think it may have a sharp edge that he cut his tail on. Will it ever heal itself, or will it remain ripped?

Piranhas are dangerous fishes. As soon as you get into the water they attack you and eat all the flesh from you skeleton within a few seconds as the story tells us. Is that realy true. Are there piranhas witch are dangerous and kinds witch are harmful. When we were on holiday in Suriname we used to swim in a river full of piranhas who never attact us. They only ate the rest of chicken. The fish was easily caught and very tasteful. We ate them instead of being their food

I want to know the skinny on at least one and no more than three of your fish.

The questions to be answered are:

*What type of fish?
*Their name?
*Why did you give it this name?
*How old is it?
*How big of an aqurium is it in?
*How big is it?
*Have you trained it?
*How often do you change the water and what percentages?

And lastly,
*Do you greet it each morning?

I had an infestation of some small, white worms in my fish tank that lived on the walls and in the gravel. I have no idea what they are, but I know this; they survived being in bleach when I tried to kill them! Also, they killed 2 sucker fish (big ones) in a week by eating their insides (I think).

I want to know what they are incase they come back again and most importantly how to kill them permanently.

I have a fishtank with several fish, including catfish, in it. My prob is that we can't get the algae to go away. We have cleaned the tank, and put special drops in. I heard some algae is caused by to much light, so we quit putting the light on. we have also started over with brand new fish and yet the algae keeps growing. What causes this and how can I stop it? Is it harmful to the fish?

I just added a Foxface Rabbitfish to my 54 gallon aquarium yesterday and my female clownfish will not leave it alone. I also added a Royal Gramma that she doesnt bother. I tried moving around the rocks, but she still bites at the Foxface's tail. What else can I do?

What can I put in my search engine, or a possible web site that will take me to a (sort of like a) fish tank 'outlet'. I am needing a cheap 29-50 gallon fish tank with or without the stand. Ive spent the past 20 minutes trying to find something on the internet and I cannot find anything. I am looking for something that will take me to a store in my general area. If someone really knows a place: Im in Knox, Tennessee. Thank you.
Also, I have spent the past two days price hunting and the cheapest Ive found was a 29 gallon tank for 70 dollars. I know I can find one cheaper. Quality does mean a lot (for those who will say "you get what you pay for") I can spot a good fish tank if I find one and so far Im not satisfied with either price or quality.

I was having a problem with green slimy alage, I would get rid of it, but then it would grow back so fast. Because it was mainly living on my white coral sand, I took it all out. Is the alage gone now? Or will it just continue to grow again? What should I do from here? My tank is infront of a window, and my light bulb is more than 3 years old...does this create a problem to?

I keep my 48 gallon salt tank next to the window there is no other place to put it. I have one of those pictures of coral and fish taped to the back of it. I was thinking to put the all black background either around the back and sides of my tank, or just behind the picture I already have...will this help to keep out the light? I have drapes but, it makes the house hot if I close them.....any ideas for keeping out extra light?
