I just added a Foxface Rabbitfish to my 54 gallon aquarium yesterday and my female clownfish will not leave it alone. I also added a Royal Gramma that she doesnt bother. I tried moving around the rocks, but she still bites at the Foxface's tail. What else can I do?

Would a tank seperator be long term or short term?

You should have researched which types of fish get along with each other before you made any purchases.

Since you've already tried rearranging the rocks to change the territory and this hasn't worked, you may have to return the Rabbitfish. Depending on how often your Gramma comes out from hiding, after the Rabbitfish is gone, your clown girl may decide to go after him as well.

Is there plenty of cover and hiding spots for all fish?

I don't know what else to suggest... I'm sorry I couldn't be much help.

Try putting the clown in a breeding box for a while. This will allow the fish to see each other and grow accustomed to each other in a safe way. It may take a long time for everything to settle- a week or two- but these two species should get along with enough room.

Be careful with your little foxie they are known to eat invertebrates and damage coral.

put a separator in the tank. probably should have asked the fish dude where u bought it. they are supposed to tell u which fish get along and which fish dont.

Clean and fry the clownfish? She won't bother anyone after that

You should either put a seperator in the tank or put one fish in another bowl because they might kill each other. hope it helps.
