it looks like very thin wool floating on the rocks.. it will be gone in a few days.. i just got 3 olden algae eaters to take care of it, but what is it?

Hopefully he meant algae eaters and not plecostomus.
You should never keep more than 1 plecostomus in a tank, smaller than 300 gallons, for long periods of time.

Anyway, that fuzzy stuff is most likely old food that your fish haven't eaten. An algea eater won't eat that and you should scoop it out your self.
Normally this won't harm your fish and will disappear in a few days, how ever, your fish CAN get diseases that way.
You should always clean up the leftover food your fish don't eat to prevent this stuff from growing.

hmm , ick, probably fish waste id clean the tank it doesnt sound like something the placastumus should eat
