My son and I got a little purebred chihuahua given to us. She is a fantastic little dog.. I have really benefitted from having her. We have some allergies tho but Ive got a really good vacuuum and now Im getting a carpet shampooer. She is a lot of responsibiloty tho she has to go out 3 times a day and 3 days a week she has to sit in the bathroom. I love taking her to my sons hockey games and stuff tho. I put an add out and some people are begging for her. A disable lady, a senior citizen who is home all the time and had a chi before and a christian family. Who is better out of all of us?

I gave her some Benedryl and it started to help, but I can't take her to the vet yet. My boss is refusing to pay me.And here in Kansas, if you take a dog to da vet & can't pay, they'll either keep them & give away or I've had a vet put my 2 Labs down cause I couldn't afford the bill. So please HELP!

I can't help but think it's when she's done something bad, like had an "accident" in the house, does anyone' else's dog do this?
When I say crouch down, i mean, almost put her stomach on the floor, but still manage to walk, and makes irritating noises, and acts weird around me, or others in the house, it's strange, i can't explain.
thanks in advance!

I got my puppy yesterday at 12 weeks old. I wormed him today and I'm pretty sure, but not certain that the people who had him before wormed him previously. He has a large stomach that protrudes outwards from his sides and a bit downwards past his chest. And yet his back seems very bony so I can't figure out if he is over or underweight. I do not know what his eating habits were before I got him but I am measuring out approximately 1/2 cup of dog food 2-3 times a day (only started this today though). Could it be worms? Or diet-related? How do I find out? He seems happy and playful and does not object if I press his stomach. I'm not too worried but I'd like to know is it normal for puppies to have large bellies? What should I do to check if there is anything wrong?

Hi, my lab is going to be 3 next week, and I want to make a puppy birthday cake for her. I used to be able to go to a fru-fru place and get special cookies, but we've moved since her last birthday and there aren't and doggie boutiques around here. YES! My dog is spoiled. LOL. Does anyone have a recipe for one? It doesn't need to be human friendly, just good tasting to my pup. Then again, it can be family friendly too. LOL

I have a 2 yr old black lab who ever since I bought her @ 3mths old has been the sweetest nicest dog you can imagine, easy to train and just a pleasure to have around. well about 4 weeks ago i bought a dacshund puppy( he's 3 months now) tonite my lab bit the puppy over a bone, the wound bled everywhere and required a visit to the animal hospital...the vet told me my options for the lab would be to get rid of it, put it to sleep, or keep it BUT i had to keep the two dogs seperated indeffinately.....what would you do in my situation??

We have had a puppy for a little over two months. He is almost five months old and is not fully potty trained. I take him out often and put him in his crate to keep him from roaming around the house and peeing wherever he pleases. When I let him out of the crate he automatically runs to the door and I take him out, which is good. However, when he's just hanging out in the house and he has to go he will simply walk over the door and give no other indication. If we do not see him do this and run immediately over he will do his business right there in front of the door. How can I get him to bark or whine or something so that I know he wants to go out, like if I'm in another room or something? Also, sometimes he will just do his business right at our feet if we are not watching him. Does this mean maybe something is clicking with him? He used to do it wherever. We praise him when he does it outside in front of us, is he just confused when inside and still expecting that praise?

ok.. my prob is my german shepherd barks at other dogs he doesn't know (those that pass by).. i think he was traumatized by the attack he got 2 months ago.. that's why he's trying to attack first before the other attacks him.

on the other hand i was thinking... he's just 5 months old and get over these on the long run...

however... we have another dog coming up... a shih tzu... i was wondering what could happen if my dog sees a new dog in the house, thinking of it's current behaviour towards other dogs. moreover, a shih tzu is very small... i was thinking of the small dog. she might also gain trauma, if my shepherd would bark at her all the time.

HOW CAN I STOP MY SHEPHERDS BEHAVIOR????

i was told makeesha is a wolf hybrid and bear is a wolf hybrid just curious what you think

Makeesha acts so much like a wolf she is 6 months old and NEVER Heard her bark ONE time. She also loves to dig,she killed my dog but i think she thought it wsa a toy. Also whenever she comes inside she goes right to the chair and starts chewing them and stuff so she has to stay outside we have enrolled herin puppy trainin classes by the wayAND SHE IS VER TIMID AND SHY

Bear is 9 months old and is one lovable boy he also talks he says i love you it sounds just like it. its so cute he does have a summer haircut though

and my second question is are wolf hybrids OR malamute and huskies get hip problems easier

here are some pictures of then enjoy:)

I want to know what is the best breed of dog 4 a apartment living.

Also, I want to know what is the best breed of dog 4 a farm. My parents are thinking about moving to a one bedroom house with one bathroom(will get bigger!) outside near fields of grass. It will be a inside and a outside pet.

I look and the only breed that fit the two circumstances are the Maltese.

HELP!!

Love,
Jessie

The owner said she's a German Shepherd. I thought her body is too light for a German Shepherd. She was brought from a farm -- one of the shepherding dogs there. I'm also feeding her thrice a day with good protein and lots of carbs but she just couldn't get any bulkier.

My 9 year old niece's dog Roger just died and is distraut. Roger was sick and old but had a good life when he was younger and was beloved. My niece asked me to explain where Roger went. I lied to her and told her that he was alive but left his flesh and went up to heaven to get well again. And that he would return in the flesh but only God knows when he will come back. She's doing better now because she has hope that she will see him again but its a fuking dirty lie. And shes expecting him to rise up again. I feel horrible. Should I?

He seemed OK when I got home about 3 1/2 hrs ago. for that last 45 min or so he has been not acting right. He is an 8 week old Chihuahua. He has had his 1st shot but not yet his 2nd.

His head kid of wobbles when he sits and a few times has fallen over. He seems to walk OK but is a little lethargic. He has went to his water bowl and taken a drink, and he is not vomiting.

He seems like an over medicated person, but to my knowledge he hasn't gotten into anything.

We just got him and since he is not a patient at our local clinic yet and it is after hours, they will not page the Dr.

Any advice?
