if you get a teacup all you can do is get from a puppy mill or backyard breeder as they are just trying to get money.
There is only 3 kinds of chihuahuas an that is long hair or short hair. The chihuahua is in the toy breed they are usually according to standard 4-6 pounds but they can be smaller or larger.
The so called teacups usually have many health problems and often don't live as long quite often their life is half only living 5=7 years due to the health problem.

NO Do not buy a "teacup" over the internet. Besides, there is no such thing! Some of us get e-mails all the time about so-called teacups that now weigh eight pounds! Anyone who tells you they can guarantee size is lying. Just because there's a cute photo of a puppy, doesn't mean that's the one you will get. You would not believe the rip off stories I see all the time. Here is more info below:

Chihuahua are very nippy, yappy hyper active puppies&dogs, CKCSpaniels are better in my opinion
You can get a rescue dog for less than $1000.
Most rescue puppies are around 130 to cover the cost of vaccination
Adult rescue dogs are around 200
Elderly dogs are even cheaper
NEVER BUY FROM A PET STORE.
You need to make sure this dog suits your lifestyle

As the others have said, there is no such thing. Tiny dogs are bred deliberately by scammers to rip off gullible people like you and they will probably have terrible (and expensive) health problems. Anyway, you could swallow it or squish it with your shoe without even noticing. If you really want a teeny-weeny pet, why not get a rat or mouse!

No reputable breeder will ever attempt to produce "teacup" Chihuahuas. They are bred for nothing but size with no regards to health or temperament. They are yet another victim of the "designer" dog culture.
If you want a healthy Chihuahua, please research reputable breeders who prove their dogs and do full health tests.

Buy from a reputable breeder of "STANDARD" sized chi's. Teacup is a glorified name for undersized, understandard and runts. A reputable/responsible breeder will not breed for these smaller dogs.

Trust me, you are gonna catch hell for using that phrase "tea cup" by other pet owners. Tea cups r the runt of the litter, a missleading phrase by breaders, usually the least healthy of the litter.
