"Free to good home" pets usually end up in bad curcumstances. either sell them for more than $100 or surrender them to a shelter.

It's been proven that the more a person pays for a dog, the better they will care for it and are much less likely to abandon it.

I am so sorry to hear you have to place a couple of your dogs. One thing I insist on from a new home is that I, or someone I trust, gets to go to the new home to see where my dog will be living after it is placed. I always require the new owners to sign a contract stating the minimum requirements I have set for the dog's care, such as not permantent outside living, must be fed, watered, groomed and vetted adequately, and most importantly to me, MUST come back to me if the new owner can't keep for ANY reason. If ever you just don't feel *right* about an adopter, trust yourself and say no.

Call Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab. It is a wonderful place. The animals are allowed to roam over acres of fenced land, and they NEVER put healthy animals to sleep, they will keep them forever if they aren't adopted.Explain that you rescued the Pyrenees mix( I've read your other questions),and her puppies and I think they will take the dogs,or tell you of some other place for them. Here is the link to their website.

Check on Petfinder.com to find a local no-kill rescue that might be able to help you find suitable homes for these dogs.

Or you can try to re-home them yourself, and post an ad on Craigslist.org but that could take a while and perhaps the rescue is the best bet.

They're beautiful dogs. Reminds me of one of my own re-homed pups. Looks just like him.

Craigslist has a section to give away animals - you are not allowed to sell animals on craigslist

many newspapers have a free ads section as well
