Frontline Plus is a great product, but if your dog already had fleas once you put it on him/her then it is harder to kill them. Also, if you have other pets in your house, they need to have the frontline as well. We had the same problem last year and even though my dog had frontline on him, they had gotten into the house and we had an indoor cat that didn't have frontline. After all the animals had frontline, we still had them. To get rid of them we used "knockout", it works like a flea bomb for the house but you can control it with a spray and get everything (Plus it keeps protecting the environment for 9 months). Next we had to take the pets to the vet where they gave them a pill or injection (I don't remember which) and that killed any fleas that were still on them within like 4 hours. The whole solution to the problem is not letting the flea cycle start. This year we started the frontline in like March before the fleas came out and knock on wood haven't had a problem.

First, make sure you are using the right product for your dogs size/weight. A Frontline spot on designed for a 10kg dog won't have the desired effect on a 30kg dog.
Second, make sure you are following the dosage correctly. I would recommend applying it every 3 months but if you are in a flea/tick infested area, ask your vet about whether you could apply it maybe every 8 weeks as apposed to every 12.
Third, make sure ALL your animals have been treated.
Finally, do your best to rid your house of stray fleas. Vacuum inside thoroughly and CLEAN, clean, clean.
Good luck!

frontline has not been working nicely on fleas for the final couple years. I artwork at a spay/neuter sanatorium and spot ton of animals are available having been dealt with with it and that they are LOADED with fleas. i would not waste my funds on it. It hasn't been doing so warm for ticks this year the two. whilst it quite works, fleas on the animal are lifeless in 24 hours. Get something like benefit quickly, and handle for no less than 3 months because of the fact which you're breeding fleas in the abode appropriate now!!! do not bathe first! maximum topical meds decide for the oil in the coat to artwork! in case you bathe first and then do not wait an afternoon or 2, that's plenty much less effective!!!!

You need to get the fleas out of the environment. If you still have fleas say in your home or yard, your dogs will still get fleas. Bomb your home if the home has fleas. Do you have cats??? If so, treat the cats and make sure they do not have any fleas. If you have fleas in the home, make an appointment for the animals to get dipped and leave them out of the home while you bomb the home.

You need to remove the fleas from your home, too. This may mean exteminating bombs, lots of vacuuming (rugs, furniture, bedding) You need to remove not only the fleas, but also any flea eggs that will keep this problem going.
And make sure ALL pets are treated!
Good luck

Switch to K-9 Advantix or Advantage. Both work great.
How often are you bathing you dogs?

You could try an aromatherapy oil instead:
