I dont want to put her in the laundry room. We just got her from the pound, so I feel bad "locking" her up. She also always lays at the front door....ready to "escape" even when we are home....She's Yellow Lab////2 years old

I think my dogs having a heat stroke because she's breathing hard and uncontrolibly. We were outside for a walk and everything seemed ok, but now she's breathing hard. Is she having a heat stroke and if so what should i do with her.

P.S. it's a chinese pug and they are known for geting heat strokes.

My pitbull just had 7 puppies like two weeks ago and all of the puppies except 4 two has opened their eyes . Is there something wrong with them or will they open later ?

Ok, I might be able to get a small dog, but I was wondering if anyone had any breed suggestions?
I have 5 cats and 2 beagles (they love other dogs), so I need a dog who would be okay with them.
I also have a 4 year old sister, not that shes rough or anything, but I dont want the dog to be nervous around her.
Also, I have a field, so the dog would be able to get alot of excercise, etc.

I have four different kinds of food that I have tried to give her but she won't touch any of them. The only time that she has eaten anything is when my husband gave her a hamburger. We really don't want to encourage her to eat people food because we have kids and we don't want her taking food from them. We have had her three days now. She was a stray from what the shelter knew but she is well behaved and trained to do tricks. She is a young adult. I don't know her exact age. I plan to take her to the vet asap but don't know what to do to get her to eat in the mean time. Any help would be great.

i got my german shepherd puppy when he was about 6 1/2 weeks and the breeder told us that they are a very smart litter and that he doesnt normally release them this early but this litter is okay, is my dog going to have any behavioral problems or is that just a rumor?

i got him 3 days ago and i looked in his health certificate today and he has 4 shots those are Adenovirus2, Distemper, Parainfluenza and Parvovirus and not Rabies. he licked my mouth and face, he scratched my whole family not to mention bit them.... i m scared to death is this a problem. oh and he has an appointment for this Wednesday... (it was the soonest i could get)

My dog will get loose and I think he may have killed 2 possibly 3 cats from the nieghborhood, one was found in my yard. I haven't seen him actually do the horrific act but he comes home with scratches and next thing I know, a neighbors cat is dead. Does anyone know how to correct this horrid behavior? He is really great around the kids and family.

Is it possible for a dog to be so fat that they cant bark? We just got a french bulldog that is waaay overweight and doesnt bark, while i know some dogs are just quiet, i was wondering if it would be hard for her to bark because of how fat she is (by the way while she is cute fat we are still trying to get it under control.) If you know, plese tell. thanks!

i know i have alot of questions about other dogs but i think i really like Boxers!i have a big backyard.i already have a dog and it is lonely so my parents said that i could get another dog i have to spend 7 hours in school (i'm ten) the guy next door hade a boxer but he was very very mean to his dogs very mean.so i took care of the dogs and i loved the boxer!then the guy lost his house so now he is in jail and the dogs live with his sister so please give me some info on boxers!!

The guy next door abused and neglected his dog and I thought I should do something about it but was scared he'd kill the dog if I called animal control. Then he was away and the dog was out so I had him picked up as a stray. The old busybody across the street saw me with the dog, so the guy next door is bound to find out I was involved. So on thurs. i brought my dog to the vet to get her fixed. So she is very energetic and wont let any 1 touch her wen she knows something is going to happen. So the doc tried to put her to sleep but she was to excited (but in a bad way) so she ran off on him and hit her head on the wall, now she has a swollen i and its red in the inside as if she poped a vein or something. My dad thinks the doc hit her but we dnt no cuz we werent there. But the incident on the wall was told 2 us by the doc. So i picked her up wit my mom on friday morn. and now she is skinier than ever it looks lik she hasnt eaten in a long time! Ok its sunday now and idk there is something wierd about her shes not eating at all (even on sat.) and i want her to eat cuz she was never tht skinny. and every once in a while she spazes out lik an omg kinda thing and its 4 no reason. She doesnt scratch herself after her spazes she just does it. idk if we went to a cheap vet cuz we paid 165. wht do u think? Shes a pomeranian.

My dog was taken away from me to lead a better life as me and my family were unable to give her a good life at our home, The people she went with apprently were very nice and their home and credentials and background were checked throughly by the German Shepard Rescue League and we legally know they are ok people, I know she has gone to a better place but I feel as though my heart is breaking,
She was my world and she made everything about living great but now I mis her so much I cry everytime I think about her, My life is pretty bad at the moment and Im still waiting for something to come along and perk it up, We're not allowed to get another dog as we dont want to go through the heart break again but I miss my dog so much and It hurts so much,

I dont know if I will get through this but I know that I miss her and constantly think what she is doing and if she is having a good time
Throughout writing this I have started to cry and I dont know what to do

I got this puppy a few days ago. She's 3 months, maltese. She doesn't respond to our calls or when we gently slap our thighs for her to come. She doesn't even look at us. She doesn't seem to care for snacks or treats. I have a notion that she was probably abused or neglected by her former owner because she would crouch and squeal when we try to pet her. She runs away and hides from us. Would she stay like this? Does she have a mental problem? What should I do?
