So on thurs. i brought my dog to the vet to get her fixed. So she is very energetic and wont let any 1 touch her wen she knows something is going to happen. So the doc tried to put her to sleep but she was to excited (but in a bad way) so she ran off on him and hit her head on the wall, now she has a swollen i and its red in the inside as if she poped a vein or something. My dad thinks the doc hit her but we dnt no cuz we werent there. But the incident on the wall was told 2 us by the doc. So i picked her up wit my mom on friday morn. and now she is skinier than ever it looks lik she hasnt eaten in a long time! Ok its sunday now and idk there is something wierd about her shes not eating at all (even on sat.) and i want her to eat cuz she was never tht skinny. and every once in a while she spazes out lik an omg kinda thing and its 4 no reason. She doesnt scratch herself after her spazes she just does it. idk if we went to a cheap vet cuz we paid 165. wht do u think? Shes a pomeranian.

This is a bit of a complicated, tough one!

It's not unusual for a dog not to eat for a little while after being spayed. I would very much doubt the vet hit her, but if you're not happy with the vet you saw then by all means take her to another vet and see what they think. No one on here can say if there's anything wrong with the dog, so don't take any 'oh my God that's terrible, sue the vet!' crap from people on here.

She really should be eating by now, under normal circumstances. Have you tried tempting her, offering her anything at all that she might want to eat? The spacing out thing is also not good. I would take her to another vet. It could well just be the knock on the head from running into a wall, but in either case it needs to be checked out and you need to ask a vet what you should be looking out for and what precautions to take, and she needs to be examined properly.

I think that when you ask a question you should try to do so in normal writing not this web lingo crap...as far as the dog I'll try to decipher what you are asking.....she may have burst a blood vessel in her eye when she hit the wall which should be okay as long as there is no bleeding in it. She may not have been eating due to being put under for the surgery and most dogs will have some loss of appetite which is normal. As far as the "spazes out" thing if it's more like a seizure she needs to be seen by the vet because she could be having a reaction to the medication she was put on but if it is more like she is running around the house almost in a playful mood she may just be wanting to play. If you are very concerned she should go back to the vet to be looked at.

I think your dad is right it doesn't make since for her to hit her head on the wall and have a swollen eye and you said you got her fixed?you should take her to another vet and tell them what happened and what she is going threw if she seems scared when you take her to another vet or if she seems aggressive towards the vet in anyway you know she was hit by the vet my dog had a hot spot on his paw about 7 years ago and my boyfriend took him to this vet to get it looked at and my dog was growling and nudging her hand didn't bite her just nudged her hand because it hurt and she didn't feel comfortable so she asked to put a muzzle on our dog and my boyfriend said yes so she put the muzzle on him and my dog did the same thing and the vet slapped him right in front of my boyfriend so now he is very aggressive towards the vets he growls and shows his teeth so I'm thinking the vet you took your dog to more than likely hit your dog i work at an animal hospital and where they do the surgery the tables are not close enough to the wall for your dog to hit her head on and i would highly recommend you getting her checked out by another vet your dog could have gotten an infection during surgery that could be why she is acting like she is i hope this was helpful

Dogs will not eat if they are in extreme pain. Get your dog to a vet, and not the vet you took her to previously. I would also research how to lodge a complaint against the vet you took her to before. Get to a VET!

Good luck.

Dogs dont just run into walls, that sounds a little fishy, I would change vets and have her checked out ASAP!

You need to get your dog to a differnt vet right away. That is not normal behavior for the dog.
