#1 how do I make my 4yo yorkie like swiming in the pool? She was in today and its very good exerzice. She kept trying to get out.
#2 Is this mean or what? There was a black lab in brownsvill road ( very busy road) So my friend Sammi took her in and the police said they think they know why its here and its owners they know. They said the dog was too hyper and shes not tho, so they took her collor off and threw her in the street! Thats so sad!

My BC loves to play ball. I play it with her everyday and we run around alot. I give her lots of exercise and we train her mental skills on the commands that I have already taught her. She also is in an agility class, although we have only been in it for 16 weeks. The class doesn't start up again til September.

Alright, so my dog is very.... protective and territorial. She snaps at any dogs that get near her tennis ball, or any other toy. She is fine with dogs until they show that they want to be dominent (if they are her size or smaller) Also, for attention, she will fight for it. If I am petting another dog, then she will get offended and snap at the dog. She is only 10 months and I am very worried it will turn into something I don't want like aggresion. She's a very sweet dog and loves people and acts great til a new dog comes and I am afraid for her.

Is there any advice that I can work with that will help my dog not be so ......however she is ^ ^ ^ ?? Thanks for any advice!!

My Boston Terrier loves to lick the floor. If he could, he would spend all day doing this. The first vet told us that maybe he licks the floor to scratch the itch around his mouth. The second vet told us that maybe he is lacking salt in his diet and that maybe we should get a salt lick. Does anyone else have this kind of problem with their pet????

I have a dog that was previously from an owner that neglected her a lot - we have no idea if she has any vaccines or not - but I will be making sure to take appropriate action. I was wondering if ayone knows the cost of vaccinating a dog in Canada?

I have a 5 month old standard poodle puppy, what an amazingly calm dog but when I am in the house, the dog is constantly following me and when I walk, he walks in front of me, or way to close to me. I have had him for a week, he is still getting used to being at a new home and there were 5 other dogs where he was at, now its just him and 2 cats, who wont give him the time of day yet.

I have been looking for a dog and not sure what kind is best for me. My boyfreind is out of town a lot for work so I would like a companion, but also a dog that can protect me and our house. size is not too much of a deal but I dont want a dog that requires complicated grooming. Also I can dedicate weekly walks but we have a fenced yard, what do you think?

Well, a lady down my block was selling some black Lab pups and we got one. He kind of has a lot of fleas but not too much for his size. I wanted to know what are some ways of getting rid of his fleas and a tiny bit of tics. Also, I wanted to know if those flea and tick collars really work on dogs and if they do, is (i think it's called) Hertz a good brand for my puppy.

do you think its fair to say that all of any breed of dog is more dangerous than other breeds. I had a dog warden tell me the other day that my american staffordshire terrier aka pitbull should be put to sleep before it bites someone even though my dog has never biten anyone or any animal and she barley even barks. not to mention she two years old and only about 18 inches high and maybe 40 lbs. the warden proceeded to tell me that my dog is viscious and would turn on me at a moments notice. what do you all think.

My one year old pug and I were sitting on the couch together and I felt something crawling on my arm, I looked down and it was a bug and I went to hit it and it jumped, it was pretty small and brown. I am hoping it is not a flea. I am not sure where it went, and we are taking our dog in tonight to the vet to get her Revolution (flea tick heartwork control med). What do I do if I see this bug again? How do I kill it? Is it a flea?

I've had our 4 month old yellow lab since she was 6 1/2 weeks old!! I live in a apartment and I wonder if we have made a mistake??? First off I have researched a lot on the lab breed!! I know they are high energy dogs!! How old will she be before she calms down some??
Lakota will be spayed in a couple a months! Will this help some?? I do know that puppies are full of energy. We take her on walks at least 3-4 walks a day!! We will go as far as 2 miles at one time! I worry at times that we will go to far with her?? But when we do come home she will start her running around the house. She demands our attention all the time!!
I am home all day and I spoil her rotten!! I wonder if I have done a bad thing?? Have I paid to much attention to her??? Can you do that???Has she learn not to play by herself???
She demands for us to play with her until it is time to go to bed!! She sleeps with us as well! She has lots of toys to play with!! Where did we go wrong???

We get a lot of squirrels in our yard and our dog just loves to run after them! He's gotten so quick at it that if we didn't have so many trees, he'd catch them easily. But, lucky for them, they always find a tree to run up before he gets to them. If he were to catch one, I really don't think he'll even know what to do with it.... LOL... Anyway, I get a kick out of watching him do this. It's so cute. Does your dog do this too?
