yes they will get along, your older dog is just telling the puppy who is boss so he doesn't think he can take over.

It's hard to know. How long have you been trying to get them together? They may work out pack order over time, however if the older dog is a very dominant male and not well socialized with other males, it may not work out. It would help if both males are neutered and the female is spayed. In the meantime, supervise them closely whenever they are together.

yes he is just letting him know who is boss but after a couple days they should get along great. it is important to not punish your dog for growling or even snapping at the puppy to warn him because this will only make him jealous and he might take a bit longer to adjust i know it is hard to let him do this to the pup but it is just their natural way of getting to know each other and stuff.

Watch them carefully when they are together, however, if it is a puppy you are introducing then everything should end up fine. My old male didn't like my pup at first, but after a while he grew to like her and they get along fine. He never tried to bite her, but you need to be careful when they are together just to make sure your pup will be safe.

Do not seperate them. There may be a fight or two at first and then things will be fine. Very normal for 2 dogs of the same sex.
Seperating them will create horrible fights and tension

It's going to take some time but they will get along. Let them work it out themselves... unless things get rough.

hopefully they will get used to each other. a great idea is for you to take them on walks together to form a pack bond.
