my dog is bleeding from one of his teeth and he is a year and 6 months. I let him out to go to the bathroom and somebody had some chicken bones sitting out in front of their apartment i heard him crunching and ran and removed all bones from his mouth. I have been paying attention to his urine for blood and his defication as well but i cant stop one of his back teeth from bleeding. This has been going on for about 5 days 2 days ago it did stop though but after he ate it started up again.....please help. I will be taking him to a vet tommarow.

You didn't say how old your dog is.if he is still a puppy around 5 months that just means that his teeth ready to come out.and if that is the case leave it alone the tooth will come out when it is ready.but if that is not the case take the dog to the vet.good luck.

FIVE days? He should've gone to the vet if it wouldn't stop after a few hours! You should be at the emergency vets, like, yesterday.

Pressure should stop most bleeding, if it doesn't you've got a problem - like a small piece of bone lodged and keeping the wound open, or a broken tooth. Good luck keeping pressure on a back tooth - maybe you could get him to eat some ice? The cold would shrink the blood vessels slightly and maybe stop the bleeding, but if I were you I wouldn't waste time fannying around like this, I'd be at a vet. Are you even sure the blood is coming from a tooth? (it would be the gum really)

If the dog is an adult, you need to take him to the vet, now. If he has chipped a tooth, it could become infected and he needs it extracted. If it is bleeding from the gumline it still might need to come out. If the dog is a puppy, under 6 months, chances are the tooth was going to fall out anyway and you can wait until his next vet visit to bring it up.

He has either cut the gum on the chicken bones or has a tiny splinter of bone stuck in his gum near the gum line. In either case there isn't much you can do except watch him. If you can you can get a cool wet paper towel and apply pressure to the gum. Your dog will open the cut or move the shard of bone every time he eats so going to the vets is a real good thing.
Good luck!

DONT WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW TAKE HIM IN NOW! Chicken bones are poison to dogs! You MUST take him/her into the vet now other wise he/she could get very sick

He has a gum disease. Too much soft food. You got to give them dried "gravel" dog food big chunks. That cleans the teeth and the gums. That is their only tooth brush.
