my dog is one years old shitsu and poodle mixed dog. (shipoo) and he wouldnt stop barking when he hears weird noises, like when a door opens or something that might have startled him. he also growls at my brother constantly whenever he sees him... i dont know how to get him to stop growling at my brother because i guess he senses a vibe in my brother that he doesnt like or something...and maybe even because its fear because there were some incidences between them which kinda caused a boundary between them... how can i stop him from growling at my brother? ...my brother has been fed up with sheebie growling at him so whenever he sees sheebie growling at him he gets beats on the head with a book until he stops... what can i do to stop them from fighting all the time?

A few hours ago I posted a question concerning "The Greyhound Voice". Then my computer crashed before I could update with a link to the newspaper article I referred to (stupid machine lol). Here it is:

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2087-2272175,00.html

I realise that there is a lot of crap and misinformation spouted from BOTH PRO- AND ANTI- racing people (and it's sometimes difficult to know which "info" is valid).

I'm neither defending nor demonising those involved in racing - some people within the industry have proved beyond doubt that they care deeply about the dogs they race.

There clearly are problems within the industry though. "The Greyhound Voice" is made up of people from WITHIN THE INDUSTRY who admit it.

If you aren't familiar with the newspaper story or "The Greyhound Voice", PLEASE READ the links provided before answering.

My 10-month old beagle mix female dog has a habit of walking... yes, walking on top of the chicken wire fence. Multiple times per day, I can look out the window and there she is, walking or standing on top of the sagging, yet upright, 4 1/2 foot chicken wire fence looking around at things and people down the alley. I may be wrong but I find this to be a very exceptional skill. No, I am not loosing my sanity. I have pics to prove it. Should I pursue a circus or acting career for her or just send pics or videos of her for a contest? By the way, her name is Sissy, so keep an eye out for her name on the next pet flick you watch! What do you think?

I just got a 6 week pitbull puppy a few days ago. she is so sweet, we named her Cali. (she is for my hubby)

Well i have a yorkie and i have always fed her purina puppy chow. I bought some purina puppy food for the pitbull but my hubby says no way! says that someone told him that the puppy food needs to have lamb and rice in it and the best to buy is a brand called Ol'Ray or something? is this true? what do you feed your pit?

Also, does anyone have a pitbull and a small dog in thier house? do they get along? i am scared that our pit will eventually hurt my 6lbs yorkie. they get along now, but my pit will eventually be about 80 lbs?

Whenever she brings the ball, frisbee, ect. back to me, I say drop it and she wont do anything and then when you try to grab it from her she either runs away or wont let you take it away from her.
