She is a Blue Tick with large amounts of white, and some tan points. Shes a small size and wont get really big. I am tired of picking a name thought Id let you guys do it for me. I want a very unique names, no common ones please.

My dog is well feed, well exercised, and well entertained. But he has an obsession with food. He, even after being fed, will obsess over food in the house. We have caught him on the counter top eating left overs, begging by the table and even showing physical signs of stress when faced with food he can't have. My husband even had food on a plate on the floor and asked him to not eat it and he began to shake, become hot and act stressed. It has come to the point that when he is caught seeking out food he can swipe, he is punished, but would rather have the food and take the punishment then go without. Like I said in the begining he is exercised daily (sometimes 4 and 5 mile runs), is being feed 6 cups a day (dog weights 80lbs, more than recommended amount) of high quality food, and is alway taken with my husband everywhere so he always entertained. Is this psychological? Is there a method of training we should be using? Or is he just the way he is?

Hi! I have a cute rottweiler puppy, she is 4 months and 2 weeks old. Her prevous master abandoned her and I see she dont know at all how to go to potty outside. I tryed to take her outside 5 times a day same time after she eat, and thats for 2 weeks. The same result, she stay outside for hours, when we come back home she pee right on the carpet. I cant say she is a stupid dog, because she is not, she understand a lot of things and do it. This is the only problem I have with her. Two weeks ago we went out of town, 8 hours at farm, outside, and I watched her all the time, she didnt do a thing, when we came back home she did it right then. If she go to the training school will they teach her there? I dont know what to do anymore. Please help!

She is 6 years old and has never done anything like this. She pees even when I take her out every hour in the evening. Could it be a urinary tract infection? When we are gone during the day, she is fine, she only has trouble at night.

There is a shelter here for dogs that have been trained, people get them, and they are quite expensive, but then don't want them as they get older or for whatever reason and give them back to the trainer. These are mostly German Shepards, very gentle, but trained to obey on command but there is a long waiting list in this area to get one of the dogs. I live in Florida and would like to adopt one for a house pet and for security at night. I am a female and manage a large senior citizens mobile home park, I walk the park in the evening and would love to have one of these dogs by my side. Does anyone know of any places in Florida that have trained dogs for adoption?

My dog is very smart. When I am at home she chews on her bone and that is it. I take her on two 45 minute walks a day, plus we play fetch, but when I leave her on the porch she chews on anything she can(3 folding chairs, grill cover, cell phone charger). When I get home I can see her outside through the sliding glass door. When she first see's me she is excited then as I get closer she starts getting guilty and backs up cause she knows she is about to get in trouble. The problem is I can never catch her in the act so I can punish her. I watch the dog whisperer and I trained her by his methods and she is the best trained dog in the world. Help please.

OK, so I have been caught! I have been putting up questions here that are 90% sarcasim and 10 % Bulls**t.

I think that we all get stressed with some of the stupid questions that are listed and I am terrible enough to combine some of the worse and see if anyone really notices. Well, there are those who did and busted me! I confess, I am guilty!

Can you understand what drove to to that point? Can you see how anyone could have been pushed over the line? Can you all find it in your hearts to forgive me? I promise I will NEVER EVER do it again! *crossing her fingers*

I have heard some on here say that one breed is more loyal then another. Don't you think that loyalty is a result of bonding though?

In my experience, if you're a dedicated and loyal owner, no matter the breed, you're going to have a dedicated and loyal dog.

Granted different breeds express themselves in a variety of ways and some are more affectionate then others. But to say that one breed is more loyal then another? Do you think that's an accurate statement?

I have a few questions...heh.

I have a female black lab who is going on 8 months. She had her first heat cycle about a month ago. As of right now, she has swelling up the teets and her abdomin seems to look like its getting a little larger. I don't know how to tell if this is a real pregnancy or false pregnancy. I know the best answer will be by an examination by a vet.

1)Is it possible for an 11 month old male to get my dog pregnant in just a few short minutes without even getting tied up? (Being that this was his first time mating, aslo)

2) Is it common for dogs to experience false pregnancies their first time in heat?

3)Do signs for pregnancy and false pregnancy show up in the same time frame? If so, how long after heat will they show these signs?

if anyone could give me some advice, i'd greatly appreciate it! thanks!
