She is 2 months old, her color is light brown/shiney bronze with a white stripe down from the neck on down to her chest and she has brown eyes. Very adorable and cute. She is a bit tiny. But she loves to eat.

I took my 6 month old puppy to the vet and they said that he has parvo they gave him antibiotics and a fluid drip and sent him home. He died two hours later. My other 8 month old is now showing signs of parvo. We have started him on antibiotics and giving him pedialight is there anything else that I can do to help him out? I now have three dogs and two are vaccinated. I found out that it can be passed by shoes and anything else that has come in contact with the dog that had it. I don't know where my dogs got it from and am trying to contact everyone that has been over to let them know that snoopy has it and that we lost one to parvo. Is there anything to feed them besides dog food? Should I look for other symptoms besides vomiting, diarrhea, fever, and blood in their stool? How do I know when my dog is past it?

I personally don't like boston terriers because they jump all over me and scratch my arms and legs.and can never just lay in your lap and be still ya know....I'm thinking of getting a boxer but from what i've read I'm thinking they are like this too.. I want a inside dog who loves to cuddle and who doesn't shed. One who is loving but playful and protective.. Any suggestions?

I have a Female Boxer who is spayed and 8 yrs old,she is overweight and I can't seem to get the ratio of feed correct. She didn't like the food the Vet recommended and now the Vet has given up her practice to go back to school and I have to find another Vet,but want to get the dog's weight down. Any suggestions? She only goes into a 1/3 acre fenced(wooden) in backyard,I can't take her for walks due to the Pitt Bulls and stray dogs that are running around the neighborhood and nobody will do anything about making them pen them up or remove them from our area. We live in a very small town and the Police won't do anything with the dogs, everybody has complained and the problem is still here. Thanks for all answers that are helpful and the ones who are being ugly I will ignore you or report you for your postings.

My dog is 15, almost 16 years old. She is a mutt ( shelter rescue) and I absolutely adore her. However, this is getting extremely difficult to live with. She was always the best dog, especially as far as being housebroken. Now she just goes... sometimes right in front of me! I spend half of my life getting the smell out of the carpet with enzyme cleaners and my husband is getting rather upset about it. I just wondered if anyone else has had similar problems and what can be done. Thanks!

I need a photo of what they look like, as well as what their personality is. Also, how much is a Pure Breed Chow? Could you get a chow at a Animal Shelter?

i ask this because i've seen lots of beautiful purebreed dogs who come out of their house by themselves and go to the park to do their business by themselves, and then go back to their house!! how on earth did they teach them to properly cross streets and to watch out and everything?

ok when me and my sister were in our backyard we noticed little squirrel babies on the grass so once we examined them 2 out of 5 were alive. so when we put them in a basket to let them sleep my dog ran over and started to nurse them and lick them. I think she thought they were her puppies!!!! Plus how did she nurse them and she's spayed and never had puppies before!!!!!

I have a young puppy, she is a beagle mix, however she is mostly blonde. She is beginning to get the dark stains under her eyes. My husband's grandfather said that we should use a boric acid solution to wash her eyes so that they don't become infected. What should I use? Should I buy it at the pet store, or would any sterile eye solution be okay? And do i just wash her fur, or the eye itself?

We have a three year old dog, had him since a pup. He's a mutt - longish hair beagle style dog. Actually he is really pretty intelligent.

He's been an awesome dog so far. I've taken many tips, and have become his "pack leader". However, he tends to nip at my kids when they are playing/rough housing, and when other kids come over he has nipped at them for playing, or when they have food in their hands.

Obviously this is a problem (though he never nips hard...just enough to scare them a bit). How do I overcome this? What would the Dog Whisperer tell me to do?

My 5 month old JRT will sometimes breathe hard with her tongue sticking out. I assumed that she was thirsty and give her something to drink, but she will drink a little and continue to breathe like this. Whats wrong?

I have a 8 or 9 year old dog. We found her in the woods in a broken down snowmobeiling warming shack. She was coverd in ticks and super skinny with only a day or so to live. (this was when she was 6 or 7.) We brought her to the vet and she is now cured. Except she still has a little bit of limes diesase left. But it is slowly going away. I have two other dogs one a newfi puppy 10 months and another old mix. they love to play ball at the park and stuff. But Anne (she is a bloodhound) Doesnt know how. We tryed thowing a bone for her because she likes bones but she just looked up at us like "What did u throw it for??" She doesnt restle, she only cuddles. there is nothing wrong with cuddling but i want her to have some fun. The vet said it was a possibility she was used as a bear hunting dog and was abused and ran away. She still has a scar from a shock collar. How do i get her to play??

My dog is very allergic to dust mites (she has been tested and that's what the test shows). She is currently on the immuno-thearpy injections once a week (since Oct.). Has anyone else experienced this before and have any ideas on how to control her itchyness until the shot starts working? Or has anyone had to give their dogs shots, how long to they take to work? She is currently on benadryl twice a day which seems to help a little, but she is still very itchy. :( She has also been on prednesone but can't stay on it due to the long term effects.
