Don't buy from a web site. Go to a shelter.
www.petfinder.com type in your zip code and breed preference. It will bring up every dog available in your area.

Websites are most often fronts for puppy mills, just like pet stores. Go to www.akc.org & find the closest local Poodle club. Buy from a member that tests & certifies their breeding dogs free from genetic defects known to the breed to ensure you are getting a healthy, well-bred companion.

Check with some of the local Vets,they have listings of reputable people to purchase dogs from. Also,sometimes a Vet may have a dog that was brought in by someone who can't care for it for one reason or another,and just give them away to good homes.

well, I live in Ga, I have an 8 pound Mini he is black, and Grey? he is about 6 or 7 yrs old, he is a jealous dog and wants to be the ONLY dog... he is crate trained, and lets you know when he wants to go outside.
he is good with cats....
I have 2 rat terriers, and 2 pits/rott and he gets along good with them, but not my Lab.
The 2 pitts are female, the 2 rats are male &Female(spayed- and neutered. but the Lab is not- that could be the probles.

well you can check out petfinder.com where you can adopt local pets in your area...they aren't always puppies but its good to know that you are helping an animal in need...i hope this helps!
