Don't get an english bulldog if money is going to be an issue. On top of their expensive price tag they have a wide array of common medical issues that will also cost you a small fortune.

Most breeders will not sell you the dog if they think you cannot afford it. Why don't you go ahead and save your money up and then find a breeder? If you are put on a waiting list you can continue to save up more money for the vet. bills. There is a lot of expense when you have a dog, especially an English bulldog. Good luck!

Most breeders will accept a deposit of about half of the cost of the puppy when it is only 1-3 weeks old. Then they will take the rest when you come to pick up the puppy (usually about 10 weeks).
Also, you really need to purchase a puppy from a reputable breeder. English Bulldogs tend to have quite a few health problems, but generally if you purchase from a good breeder the dog will not have as many health problems as a dog from a pet store or bad breeder.

Best bet is to contact some breeders and let them know that you would like one and that you can not afford that much at one time. Some of these breeders (make sure you check them out first) will let you purchase a puppy that is not born yet. Remember though those dogs are hard to breed and you may already have to get on a waiting list!
Also remember that that breed requires alot of medical issues. If you do not have the money to buy one you may find that you will not be able to afford the vet bills either. Hope this helps
Good luck

Any reputable breeder will. I don't even breed my dogs unless I have ten buyers with deposits on the future pups. I plan on my next litter (if I decide to breed) in 2008. I will start taking deposits in June of that year. I would never breed a dog without knowing I can place the pups. I ask for $200.00 deposits and then 50% of the total balance when born and everyone starts picking out the pup they are interested in. The balance is due when they pick up their dog. Most breeders I know do it this way. However, I will return deposits of those who either do not want one once they see the litter or If I don't have enough Pups. Sorry, I don't want to give the wrong impression, I only breed Saints.

Consider checking out the rescue places.
Go to petfinder.com put in English Bulldog for breed, young for age and your zip code and they will have all sorts of places for you to find one. You can negotiate the fee with rescues. They make sure the animal is checked by a vet, updated on shots and spade or neutered so the fee reflects that if necessary. A lot cheaper than going to breeder.

That would be a question for you to ask each breeder you are interested in buying from. Some may, if they are assured that their pup would be going to a good home and that you would be able to pay for any medical costs that may be associated with the dog.

English Bull Dogs are one of the most expensive breeds of dog to own due to their numerous health problems. If you can't afford to buy one you probably won't be able to afford the healthcare of one.

If you can't afford to buy one, you most likely cannot afford to keep one. They have health problems and need frequent visits to the vet.
