I posted a question about my dog who stopped eating or drinking (We are making him right now, chicken broth and water in some bottles.) At first I thought it was depression.. but now I am not too sure.

The puppy itself, never showed signs of parvo, and was only diagnosed with Kennel cough. She is now healthy, along with our third dog. (For a few days, she was coughing and wasn't very responsive. Now she is breathing fine and active again with the help of some antibiotics) but this dog is worrying me.

He hasn't coughed but once or twice in the past few days, his urine is fine (Allthough he is squatting now..) and haven't noticed anything odd with his stools. He has just become very lazy, and won't eat or drinking. (The water bottles are helping, and occasionally he will let us hand feed him, but if he drops it he will only eat it again if he hand it to him)

Does this sounds like parvo?

I am debating between a shiba Inu and a scottish terrier. This will be my first dog on my own and I will be living in an apartment. But I need a dog that will be friendly with other dogs since I will be visiting my parents who have 3 big dogs often. Which do think would be better for my life style? Also, which name do you like best... Bosley(boz for short) or Bingham (bing for short)

as mentioned on my blog, i died my hair black in memory of a best friend, & family pet, BO, a black Labrador
but i'm not the only one who's done things in memory of their dogs.
charles schulz of coarse created the peanuts comic strip with its most notable character, snoopy
& the fictional character dr. henry jones jr. goes by the alias "indiana", after his dog.
but who else has done things in honer of their pet?

He doesn't get into chew toys that much. I was wondering if anyone knew of something I could get him to play with.

Our dog's name is Bear. I named him before he became our "child". He belonged to a friend's sister, and she couldn't think of a name. He was only about 6 or 7 weeks old and just reminded me of a little bear cub. she liked the name. A couple weeks later she realized she couldn't keep him, so he moved in with us, and our older dog raised him.

Thanks to everyone who posted a reply.
Here is the reason I asked the question.
We have two dogs, female, Blk Lab mix 3 1/2, male, Blk Lab/Collie/Ger. Shep. mix 3, both are altered.
We would like to adopt a lovely. male, yellow Lab mix who's approx. 3 1/2 (also altered), from our local humane society.
Problem....Our male is territorial and all three dogs have cases of varying degrees of separation anxiety, plus, the yellow lab has bit another dog on the leg for going after "his' treat.
You may think I'm nuts for wanting a third dog, but we have visited with this yellow lab at the humane society, have fallen in love with him and would love to give him a permanent home.
What I would like to happen is adopt this guy, bring him home and to have all three dogs live in harmony, but I'm worried that if I bring this guy home atleast two of them with tear eachother apart.
Any help, suggestions, or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Ani

We have tried everything short of smacking him on the nose with a rolled up newspaper. Wanted to try more humane ways first, but he just won't stop. Any suggestions would be appreciated. We will be starting puppy training classes in a few weeks. Thanks!!

She also piddles when she gets excited or nervous - even if she is on the couch. I believe they call that submissive urination. She was rescued off the street by the Humane Society. We are trying to be patient but this is getting on my nerves. We let her out regularly but she hates being outdoors. We thought crate training would help but she has urinated in there twice already - EWW!! She is a Jack Russell / Dachsund mix, approx. 2 - 4 years old, recently spayed.

about a week ago we have had a fire in our home. which makes it unliveable until it's rebuilt. we are discussing moving into a condo and we can not have dogs. we love our dogs we already had to give up our two cats for adoptions. they will not be utinized. which i am thankful for. anyhow, what would you do? In the new condo I do not want my Poodle ot pee on the carpet. The pre owner never trained him. I have a doggy door in my burned down home. He knows of it. But while gone for a while out of the house, he seems to get his head wrong on. neverthless, what shall I do ? Is there a way that you can retrain a a6 year old poodle? I am devasted this has not been a good Christmas. Thanks for all who are giving me a cheerful response, I need no critizsim, as I am already feeling burned down.
