I posted a question about my dog who stopped eating or drinking (We are making him right now, chicken broth and water in some bottles.) At first I thought it was depression.. but now I am not too sure.

The puppy itself, never showed signs of parvo, and was only diagnosed with Kennel cough. She is now healthy, along with our third dog. (For a few days, she was coughing and wasn't very responsive. Now she is breathing fine and active again with the help of some antibiotics) but this dog is worrying me.

He hasn't coughed but once or twice in the past few days, his urine is fine (Allthough he is squatting now..) and haven't noticed anything odd with his stools. He has just become very lazy, and won't eat or drinking. (The water bottles are helping, and occasionally he will let us hand feed him, but if he drops it he will only eat it again if he hand it to him)

Does this sounds like parvo?

I guess why the question is still new, I will ask this:

Could there be something my yard that is poisonous to him? I am being told now that something very similar to this happened to him the week after Thanksgiving LAST year. My father nursed him back to health then, but I just don't remember that.

ALSO: His eyes are real bloodshot.

This is very possibly parvo and to be safe, I would see your vet first thing tomorrow to make sure.

Some of the first signs of parvo is lethargy, less eating and drinking, general malaise. Runny stools with a smell that is never forgotten. It sounds like this dog should be taken to the vet again. There is a swab that can be done to test for parvo. When caught in the early stages, recovery is good.

I'd call the vet for an appt. first thing in the morning!

This does not sound like parvo. Parvo is accompanied by vomitting, bloody stinky diarreah, lethargy, and it kills within 3 days if not treated.
worms causes lethargy if badly infested with the same symptoms of parvo.
I would definately keep getting the liquids down the dog so it does not dehydrate and get it back to the vet or find a differant vet that can give you a diagnosis.

It does not sound like parvo at all. Still any time there is an unusual change in your dog's behavior that last more than 24 hours it is best to have the dog checked by a vet just to make sure it is okay. Hope the little one will be okay.

Im not sure what it is but it is not parvo,if he had parvo there would be blood in his stools. But really you need to take him to the vet and see what is going on.Also parvo would kill him and you said he had the same thing going on last yr.Do you think it is possible he could have been poisioned? You can take bacon grease and feed it to him and if he was poisioned it will get it out of his system.I hope you can find out what is going on with your dog,and get it taken care of.

You did no longer point out bloody stool and an somewhat foul scent, so basically maybe an 'ordinary' diarrhea. yet you're doing the perfect element rushing to the vet as a results of fact the quicker they could start up clinical care the extra constructive.

It is not parvo. I am a vet technician. If he had parvo he would be throwing up and liquidy bloody stool. I would take him to the vet though and see what else it might be though.
Good luck!

I does not sound like parvo. It sounds like he likes to be babyed and hand feed. take him to your vet to make sure that there is nothing wrong with him. If there is nothing wrong with him. I would start treating him like a normal dog. see if this helps.
