I have heard that some online pet pharmacies sell fake or not completely reputable drugs, does anyone know which to avoid? I need levothyroxine (thyroid meds) for my dog, so I really want the correct drug for the best price. Is petcarerx.com ok?

I'm leaving my 2 year old Beagle in a crate for the first time today. I'm nervous. I've only had him for a couple days. He likes spending time in his crate but this is the first time he'll be on lock-down. I'll be leaving him for 4-6 hours. I got him from a shelter so I dont even know if he has a history of crate training. He's a very quite, calm, good little doggie. I put him in the crate and hid. He whined a little bit at first but quieted down. I left the TV on and left one of my t-shirts in his crate.

Will he be alright?! :S

I haven't been home for the past two nights, but she has been with my aunt at my house. When I went to bed last night, she was sitting up, and her front legs were trembling. I pulled her to me and laid her on my chest to comfort her, but she was still trembling, and it sounded like she was wimpering. I laid her back on the bed. Sometime early this morning she jumped off my bed and went to lay down under the bed. This isn't highly unusual, but it's not an often occurence either. She usually only jumps off the bed when my boyfriend is over, or if she wants to go outside. She also usually gets up with me in the morning, and goes outside while I get ready for work. This morning, I got her out from under the bed, and tried to take her to her food and water, but she seemed uninterested. She just turned around and ran back to my bedroom and under the bed. This isn't like her, she is a very energetic and friendly dog. I am very worried, please help.

I really love dogs, but my family's beliefs do not allow having dogs.
I can't have one now as I live under the roof of my parents, but when I finally have my own spot, my family will still forbid me. Should I go against them and get a pet dog?

Does anyone have experience with stripping a coat? I usually have my Schnauzers shaved down, but am interested in stripping, especially on dark ones, how often is this done compared to shaving down? Is it painful for the dog and if it is a puppy when do you start?

we've got the cutest golden lab, she 7yrs old and still daft as a brush, she sings to you in the morning when you come down stairs, brings you tea towels everytime you step though the door as a gift... and she can hear a kit kat wrapper opening from...at least a mile away!..... which brings me to the point,..... chocolate is bad for dogs yet they love it so much..... if you say 'no' to her she just gives you those sad puppy dog eyes and you end up giving her some, even though you said no a sent her away....., how do they do this........ were did they learn it from?

My yorkshire terrier who is just over 6 years old has been crying constantly over the past couple over days. She's had me awake all last night! There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with her physically she's just really restless walking round all the time like she's looking for something. I'm pretty sure she's not in pain, she just seems a bit confused. I read somewhere that it could be similar to cabin fever? She's in the house on her own most of the day and she doesn't go out of the house much. Is this a possiblity? Even after she has been out she still cries and wanders round and cries when she's resting and when she's playing! She just seems to be down but hyperactive as well. I'm quite worried and getting a bit stressed out about it. Does anyone have any advice?

I have two weimaraners that are just over a year in age each. One is the dark grey color and the other the light color. The dark colored one seem to not be bothered to much by the cold weather but the light now is always shivering and can't stand being outside. Sometimes it could be in the 40's or 50's and he is standing by the door shivering to come in as my other dog is out and about the yard without a care. I wish I could leave them inside when I go to work but they destroy everything in their site outside let alone in. Does anyone have a dog that is like this and do you know why or what you did to help???
