Why can't people keep their noses out of other people's lives? If you don't want to crop/dock, then that is your business and those that do dock/crop will leave you alone and respect your decision, but yet there are those of you that feel the need to control what other people are doing. Whether it be what you eat, what you keep as a pet, whether you crop.dock, spay/neuter what you do in your free time, they want to control all that. This is what the AR movement is doing little by little. It can be seen in this link.
Edit: KGBS, have you ever actually seen a crop/dock done on a puppy? From your response I would say probably not, but you know what? I have, many times. I was a vet tech for a couple years and seen the Vet do this to many, many puppies. Most pups didn't even let out a yipe, if they did it lasted a second and then the puppies were back to doing what they were doing at the time, which is usually nothing at the age this is done.
Most dogs that get their tail docked, get it done because their tails get injured easily, which would you rather have? A dog that is constantly hurting it's tail and in pain, or one that doesn't? As for the ears, it tends to be healthier for the dog overall. It's less ear infections, I can tell you that from experience.
Please do us and the world a favor, do more research before believing what the ARs put out there. They have an agenda and it's to get rid of all human/animal relationships, including the pet!

Oh yeah, I love to see our right to make our own decisions slowly being taken away by people who know little or nothing about animal husbandry.
As an example, look at the whole hog farm thing. The ARs rant and rave about the 'cruel' cages they are put in. Ya, they are called FARROWING crates and they are in them right after they birth their babies! It keeps the sow from smooshing all the little piglets!
As far as the lamb pictured being docked, they are docked to prevent flystrike. Which is better, a docking when they are babies, or maggots eating away their tail?
ARs don't care about THAT though do they? Its NOT about helping animals but about making ownership harder and harder until nobody has animals. No more animal ownership, INCLUDING Fifi on your couch!!!

i like your writing. the variety is precise, to the factor and nicely researched. I by no skill subject too lots approximately grammatical blunders. every physique might learn the fundamentals of grammar yet imaginative writing regrettably can't learn. Your article elicited the needed result, that's the uniqueness of the expert crafts-individual. college will help you polish those skills till you're a finely honed tale teller without reservation. save up the stable artwork. retired prof.

Maybe some of these @#&*!% that have commented would look better with say, their noses "cropped/docked" or maybe they would look better with only one ear....some people don't deserve to have animals.
